Student answer (Band 5.0)
The knowledge of cleaning the environment is increasing so people prefer to recycle more. It is the necessity to clean environment for the future so recycling the waste is quite helpful for that. It may also helpful for use of same material again and again without losing the resources.
the people of different countries eat oily product for example our people like kabab and other oily product, so they donot use same oil again and again because after heating the oil change its colour and its turn into black with was dummed out at some place many resturants also do this, so now the different companies can take those used oil and recycle it for further use. Thatswhy people can use it again and again and the dirt is not the part of their food.
Those who believe that consuming the less product also help us to save the resources are also right in his point of view. They think if we consume less we save more and it is good for the environment, but the people who already spend their live below the poverty line can not reduce their consumption they already eat two time in a day. But this thing may applicable for rich community that they can decrease their consumption bundle means use one dish rather than ten dishes for a single person .
In my opinion we need to consume less and recycle more to clean our environment and save our resources which helps us to clean our environment along with recycling we need to incourage the people to plant the different type of trees which clean the air and make the environment more beautiful.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a clear final preference for combining reduced consumption with recycling. The example of restaurants reusing cooking oil is relevant to recycling, while the contrast between people living in poverty and wealthier consumers helps explain why reducing consumption may not be equally possible for everyone. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the first paragraph mainly introduces recycling, and the oil example is not clearly connected to wider environmental benefits. The view that recycling alone is insufficient also needs fuller explanation, such as how reducing purchases can lower waste and resource use before products need recycling. Develop each side with a reason and a specific supporting example, and make your position clear earlier as well as in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces recycling, considers reduced consumption, and ends with your opinion. Some linking expressions, including “so,” “but,” and “In my opinion,” help show relationships between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is not always clear. The long cooking-oil example contains several points joined together, making it difficult to see the main claim, and the shift from poverty to wealthy consumers could be signposted more clearly. Repeated use of “so” and “again and again” also makes cohesion feel mechanical. Organise each paragraph around one main point, use shorter sentences to separate explanation from example, and refer back to ideas with clear expressions such as “this approach” or “by contrast.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycle,” “resources,” “poverty line,” and “consumption,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “knowledge of cleaning the environment,” “consumption bundle,” and “the dirt is not the part of their food.” Spelling errors such as “resturants,” “incourage,” and “thatswhy” are also noticeable and reduce the clarity and control of the writing. Aim for precise, natural phrases for environmental effects and consumer behaviour, and check spelling carefully. Replacing repeated general words with accurate topic vocabulary will make the argument easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast introduced by “Those who believe…” and a conditional idea beginning “if we consume less.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “It may also helpful” is missing a verb, “consuming the less product also help us” has agreement and structure problems, and “the oil change its colour and its turn into black” contains several verb-form errors. Some sentences run together, particularly the cooking-oil example. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses; check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation during revision.
