Student answer (Band 4.5)
People worried about fast growing of environment changes they choose recycling.Because people thinks recycling is more reliable and good for enviroment.Mostly it is common factor to be use things again with recycling. It is not harmful for environment and peoples health.A huge number of people thinks recycling is best way to save environment pollution,But some people thinks recycling is not enough in fast growing environment. They believed that we should use things not too much.
In this both selerios my opinion is that we want to use short things and not consumes more things in fast growing environment.Because if we use more tnings and recycled them there is time waste and environment pollution. There is no big recycling plants and people recycled from their own ways which is mostly harmful. So if we use less things it is good for us and environment also.As my experience and knowledge i live in small city and there is no recycling plant.People uses their own ways of different recycling methods. In the result of pollution is occured and different gases increased and this is very dangerous for people health and for enviroment. So if we use less things and not recycled them too much this is very friendly nature and envirnment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both views: recycling is presented as a way to reuse items, while the opposing view is that people should consume less. Your own position is also identifiable: you favour using fewer things, supported by your experience of living in a city without a recycling plant. However, the discussion is brief and the reasons are not fully explained. For example, the claim that recycling causes “time waste and environment pollution” needs a clearer explanation or evidence, and the first view receives little development. The response also contains 202 words, below the required 250, so the task is not fully completed. Develop each side with a specific reason or example, then explain your opinion more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening introduces the two views, and the next paragraph gives your opinion and a personal example. This helps the reader identify the general direction of your answer. However, progression within and between ideas is often unclear. Several points are joined together in long strings, while connectors such as “Because,” “So,” and “In the result” are used mechanically or do not show the relationship accurately. The final sentence repeats the recommendation to use fewer things without adding a distinct conclusion. Use clear paragraph purposes, separate reasons from examples, and connect each claim to the next with precise linking phrases and clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is basic but includes relevant topic words such as “recycling,” “environment,” “pollution,” and “gases,” so the main subject can generally be understood. However, the same words and simple phrases recur, and several inaccurate choices make meaning difficult to follow, including “fast growing of environment changes,” “short things,” and “selerios.” Spelling errors such as “enviroment” and “envirnment” also reduce accuracy. Aim to use more precise expressions for the key ideas—for example, distinguish reducing consumption from reusing or recycling materials—and check spelling carefully. A wider set of accurate topic vocabulary would make your discussion clearer and less repetitive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons, including “Because if we use more things and recycled them…” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but sentence structures are very limited and errors are frequent enough to make some relationships unclear. Examples include missing or incorrect verb forms in “people thinks,” “People uses,” and “they choose recycling,” as well as incomplete or awkward sentence construction at the start. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are also inconsistently controlled. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses using “because” or “although.” Check that each sentence has a clear subject and finite verb, and use full stops to prevent run-on sentences.
