Student answer (Band 5.0)
This is an ongoing topic of debate these day that more people are choosing to recycle and environment complications are growing. While many people argue that recycling is not enough option, public should consume less in that way we can overcome our environment concerns. In this essay I will discuss both views before presenting my own opinion.
First and foremost, environment challenges are rising day by day. World's population are growing considerably and fosil fuels are widely use to cover the need of the world. Moreover, the urban cities are expanding and agriculture land are decreasing rapidly. Meanwhil, a vast rise of people in choosing rescycling; curently people are now prefer to recycle the things rather than buying new ones. For instance individauls are recycle the plastic bottle and they are using same plastic bags. Furthermore, government ane different environment related organizations are trying to recycle the recycle the water and make able to re use.
On the other hand, many people argue that recycling will make great impact. We should need to consume less. We need to consume essentail items and try to save them for the next generation. For example we shoud consume less water and stop wasting it and we are not completely shifted into renewablele energy. Therfore, we also cosumes less fosil fuels and save for future. Moverover, publivc should limited our consumption of that things which can harmful for atmsphere. for example, stop doing unnecessary traveling and safe the environment fro m harmful gases.
In conclusion, Although many peole are now choosing recycling, there are need to do more for environment. In my opinion, limited our comsumpyion is best oy

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and state a preference for reducing consumption, so the response is relevant to the question. The discussion of recycling includes examples such as reusing plastic bottles and bags, while the second view mentions saving water and reducing unnecessary travel. However, the position is not fully clear or developed: the opening says the public should consume less, but the conclusion ends abruptly at “limited our comsumpyion is best oy.” The reasons are also broad, and the link between population growth, shrinking agricultural land and recycling is not explained. Develop each view with a clear reason and a specific example, then finish with a complete, consistent statement of your opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion, which gives it some basic organisation. Phrases such as “First and foremost” and “On the other hand” signal a change in focus. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from population and fossil fuels to urban growth and recycling without clearly showing how these points connect. Linking expressions are sometimes mechanical or inaccurate, including “Moreover” and “Furthermore” where the relationship between ideas is not made clear. The conclusion is incomplete, which weakens the overall progression. Group related points, explain their connections, and use referencing and transitions to guide the reader rather than simply introducing another statement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycle,” “fossil fuels,” “renewable energy,” and “atmosphere,” so the main subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “environment complications,” “make great impact,” and “limited our comsumpyion.” Repetition of “consume,” “recycle,” and “environment” also restricts precision. Aim to learn accurate topic collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “environmental problems,” “have a significant impact,” and “reduce our consumption.” More precise vocabulary would help distinguish the effects of recycling from the benefits of consuming less.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast clause beginning “While many people argue…” and a concession in the conclusion beginning “Although…”. However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms and sentence construction can make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “World's population are growing,” “fosil fuels are widely use,” and “individuals are recycle.” The sentence “We should need to consume essentail items” also shows difficulty forming a clear modal construction. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and build longer sentences from correct clauses. Proofread each sentence for a clear subject, a correctly formed verb, and complete punctuation.
