Student answer (Band 6.0)

Due to the significant increase in the concerns regarding the environment, more and more citizens are choosing to recycle the waste. On the contrary, some people believe we have to consume less in order to contribute more in the eco-friendly management. Both the views are equally valid and requires people to focus on sustainability in regards of their eating habits and recycling habits, to generate a optimal eco-enviromental solution.

To commence, recycling is a optimal pathway for establishing an eco-friendly environmental. The products we think as waste can be used as a source input in making of a really vigilant by-product. For instance, the left over sugarcane (bassgas) after taking out the juice from it can be utlilized as a bio fuel. There are many upcoming industries in the market that supports the recycling process on individual level and people are trying their level best to optmize the usage of products.

In continuation, sustainable or less consumption can make a really big difference in the making of eco-friendly environment. According to the factual data, there are a lot of waste genration in everday practices. Some waste could be recycles but if the generation of waste is lowered then there are high chances of improving the condition. For instance, consumption of junk and use of plastic can be lowered and a product that has environmental benifits can be utilized in place. To implement this on large scale needs a lot of support and making the recycleable items cheaper for citizens to attain affordability.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and give a clear personal position: recycling is useful, but you ultimately support consuming less. The sugarcane-residue example helps explain how waste can be reused, while the discussion of reducing plastic and junk-food consumption gives a relevant example for the second view. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the recycling paragraph mainly describes one possible use for waste, without explaining its broader benefits or limitations, and the point about making recyclable items cheaper is introduced without being connected clearly to your argument. To strengthen the response, explain why each approach helps and how reducing consumption complements recycling, then support those links with specific reasoning or examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your preference. Connectors such as “To commence,” “In continuation,” and “In conclusion” make the stages easy to identify, and the ideas generally progress in a logical order. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some control of progression. However, several links feel mechanical, and some references are unclear—for example, “a product that has environmental benefits can be utilized in place” does not specify what it replaces. The opening also combines both views and your position in a dense sentence. Use more natural transitions and make the relationship between each example and its main point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “sustainability,” “bio fuel,” “waste generation,” and “affordability,” so the response can discuss both recycling and consumption. However, noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision and sometimes make phrases difficult to interpret. Examples include “eco-enviromental,” “bassgas,” “utlilized,” and “recycleable”; “a vigilant by-product” is also an unsuitable word choice for the intended meaning. Phrases such as “eco-friendly environmental” and “contribute more in the eco-friendly management” are not natural English. Build accuracy by checking spelling and choosing familiar, precise collocations—for example, “environmental protection” or “reduce waste”—before attempting less common expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if the generation of waste is lowered then there are high chances of improving the condition” and a concessive opening in the conclusion. The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “Both the views are equally valid and requires” mismatches the plural subject and verb, while “a optimal pathway” uses the wrong article. In “The products we think as waste,” the clause is not formed correctly, and “there are a lot of waste generation” has an awkward grammatical structure. Review subject–verb agreement, article use, and clause patterns, then proofread each sentence for a complete and natural construction.
