Student answer (Band 5.5)
Environmental awareness has been growing considerably in recent years, that most of the people now are preferring recycling. Nevertheless, few people believe that reducing the consumption will play great role. Although recycling plays a crucial role in conservation but limiting the use of the plastics and other harmful materials can be more beneficial.
To commence with, environmental concerns are nowadays very popular and can be addressed by recycling of the products. Most of the aluminium cans, plastics can be reused as recycled products and in result , less energy will be consumed and more can be saved for future use. Recycling of plastics, paper and cans was done in order to prevent them from wastage. In this way, recycling is one of the bestest initiative taken to limit the use of harmful products.
On the other hand, some people believe that only recycling can not do anythig alone. Instead, less consumption plays an important role. If everybody is willing to limit the use of resources and will recycle anything that can not be replaced than only the environment can be protected. Recycling also requires alot of energy. For instance, when aluminium cans are collected and taken to recycling points, not all cans are recyclable. It requires so much of water and energy to recycle also and when these are transported to another plcaes, so much of fuel is consumed which latter contribute to green-house gas. So, in this way somewhere recycling is also helpful but harmful also. So, limiting the use can be a better solution in order to prevent our environment.
In my opinion, although recycling is the best initiative to be taken to reduce the risk and government must take some initiatives to aware people for less consumption and preservation of the environmental of these things.
Overall, recycling plays an important role for growing environmental concerns. All the luminium cans, plastics can be reused. but limiting the consumption can be the bestest solution.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a position: recycling is useful, but reducing consumption is presented as the better solution. The discussion of recycling includes a relevant point about reusing cans and plastics, while the second view is supported with the example of energy and fuel used in collecting and processing cans. These points keep the response focused on the question. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others. The benefits of recycling are stated broadly, and the final opinion is difficult to interpret because it says recycling is the best initiative while also favouring reduced consumption. Clarify which approach you consider more important, then explain how the two measures could work together.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. Transitions such as “On the other hand” help signal the change in perspective, and the example about transporting cans follows the point about recycling’s energy costs. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or unclear. “So, in this way” is repeated, and the final paragraph repeats earlier claims rather than bringing them together. Some links between ideas are also hard to follow, particularly “If everybody is willing to limit the use of resources and will recycle anything that cannot be replaced than only the environment can be protected.” Use fewer formulaic transitions and make the relationship between each claim and its explanation more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “environmental awareness,” “conservation,” “resources,” and “green-house gas,” so the reader can follow the main discussion. There are also attempts to use more specific terms such as “recyclable” and “preservation.” However, the range is limited by repeated words such as “recycling,” “use,” and “environment,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate. For example, “bestest initiative” is not appropriate in formal writing, “popular” does not naturally describe environmental concerns in this context, and “prevent them from wastage” is unclear. Spelling errors such as “aluminium” being misspelled in the conclusion and “plcaes” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “Although,” “when,” and “If.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the main ideas are generally understandable. However, errors occur in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. The opening sentence joins two clauses incorrectly: “Environmental awareness has been growing considerably in recent years, that…” The sentence beginning “Although recycling plays a crucial role…” also needs a complete, correctly linked structure. Other examples include “will play great role” and the conditional construction “If everybody is willing… and will recycle… than only…”. Practise forming accurate complex sentences and review article use, verb forms, and comma placement; this will make your meaning clearer and more controlled.
