Student answer (Band 5.0)

Concern for the environment which is growing more and more and individual are choose to recycle things. But some people advised that recycling is not enough instead need to consume less.

I strongly believe that this essay will explore both views and ideas that will be differentiated ahead in the upcoming program.

To commence with, environment is very crucial thing for humans future. The main problem is increasing population that give a threat to people. To solve this problem some people choose to recycle things which they are using in everyday life. It is very beneficial step for environment To illustrate with, the bottles which we use in our everyday life if it is recycled it will be use again and again. The bottles me and my family use is usually not thrown on the road but will be sent to recycling company for reuse. To result of, the recycling plays useful role in humans beneficial.

On the other hand, some people who thought that recycling is not enough process beacuse they considered it very slow process. They think that humans needed to be consumed less than recquire. To demonstrate with, cambridge university investigated that recycling is not enough because people consumed more than they needed. Environment is at risk in this state because when individual consumed more and recycling is decreasing slowly.

To conclude this, i strongly believe that the way of recycling is better and beneficial and also very easy to achieve than consuming. Consuming is very difficult for humans.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and state a preference for recycling, so the response is relevant to the question. The recycling paragraph gives a concrete example involving bottles used by your family, which helps illustrate the first view. However, the discussion is only partial: the reasons for consuming less are not clearly explained, and the claim that recycling is “very slow” is not supported with a specific explanation. Your conclusion says consuming less is difficult, but does not weigh this against the environmental benefits of reducing consumption. The opening sentence about exploring ideas “in the upcoming program” does not answer the task. Develop each view with a clear reason and example, then explain why your preferred approach is more convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting the views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the other hand” and “To conclude” help signal these stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several linking expressions are inaccurate or mechanical, including “To illustrate with,” “To result of,” and “To demonstrate with.” The opening also promises to explore the views without giving a clear position, while the conclusion introduces the difficulty of consuming less without developing that point earlier. Use simpler, accurate transitions and make each paragraph follow a clear sequence: main idea, explanation, example, and link to your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycle,” “environment,” “population,” and “consumed,” and the bottle example shows an attempt to describe reuse. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning awkward, such as “humans beneficial,” “very crucial thing,” and “consuming is very difficult for humans.” Some expressions are repeated, particularly “very” and “people,” and “recycling is decreasing slowly” does not clearly express the intended point. Aim for more precise environmental language and learn common combinations such as “reduce consumption,” “recycling facilities,” and “environmental impact.” Check word forms and spelling, including “individuals,” “because,” and “require,” to make your meaning easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, for example, “To solve this problem some people choose to recycle things which they are using in everyday life.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “individual are choose,” “the main problem is increasing population that give a threat,” and “humans needed to be consumed less.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries, as in “The bottles me and my family use is usually not thrown on the road but will be sent…” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement and keeping verb forms consistent.
