Student answer (Band 5.5)
In my view, the sudden increase in world's poplulation leads to environmental concerns six folds more than 10-15 years ago. These environmental concerns may contain increase in health risks among people of different regions, pollution, temperature fluctuations and many more that can effect human health partially or completely. Many of the products that we used in our daily livelihoods are synthesized by plastic and harsh chemicals that can effect us indirectly or directly. For example, the face wash which we used to cleanse of face can contain a large amount of microbeads that can effect the world under water. In recent researches, scientists achieved to compile that microbeeds in our daily cleansing items that we discard in oceans or via sinks can be digested by fishes directly and can cause serious illness among them. When we eat these fishes, the chemicals directly entered our bodies and costs us our health. So, it will be a better option to recycle the wraps or covering of the cleansing products or to consume them very less so we can't hurt our health by ourselves. When we consume less and avoid such items, it will be benficial for envirnment because it will lessen the ratio of toxicity in our environment either it is air or water. The less toxic environment is directly proportional to healthy lives and creative minds. So, we should recycle such things by knowing proper pros and cons or we should consume such items less to avoid any toxicity in the environment and to keep it fresh and charming.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response is relevant to environmental protection and gives a clear preference for both recycling and consuming less, supported by the example of microbeads entering the food chain. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the essay does not explain the case for recycling as a distinct approach or compare its benefits and limitations with reducing consumption. Your position is also not fully consistent: you initially recommend recycling or consuming less, then conclude that people should do both, without explaining how these approaches relate. Several claims, such as population growth causing concerns to rise “six folds,” are asserted rather than supported. Develop each side separately, then state and justify a consistent opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the response moves from environmental problems to a microbead example and then to recommendations. Linking expressions such as “For example,” “So,” and “When we consume less” help show connections between ideas. However, the essay is presented as one long paragraph, so the discussion of the two views and your opinion are not clearly separated. Progression is also repetitive: the final sentences restate that people should recycle or consume less, rather than adding a distinct conclusion. Some links are difficult to follow, particularly the shift from the effects of microbeads to recycling product packaging. Use separate paragraphs for the recycling view, the consumption-reduction view, and your conclusion, with clearer links between each point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “environmental concerns,” “microbeads,” “toxicity,” and “temperature fluctuations,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “world's poplulation,” “six folds,” “daily livelihoods,” and “compile” in “scientists achieved to compile” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “benficial,” “envirnment,” and “microbeeds” also reduce control. Some phrases, including “fresh and charming,” are not well suited to an academic discussion of environmental policy. Aim for accurate, conventional collocations and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response attempts complex sentences, including relative clauses and conditional relationships, as in “When we eat these fishes, the chemicals directly entered our bodies.” This shows some range, and the main message is usually recoverable. However, errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “the chemicals directly entered” shifts tense, while “the face wash which we used” does not maintain the intended present-time meaning. The opening sentence also has an unclear grammatical relationship between population growth and environmental concerns. Several long sentences join multiple ideas without clear control. Practise keeping tense consistent and building complex sentences around one clear main clause; then check agreement and article use.
