Student answer (Band 5.5)
Growing environmentals concerns has made more people to choose recycling. Hoever few people argued that this step isn't enough to overcome environmental concerns, to tackle this situation we have to limit our consumption count.
People are adopting to recyclying products from scratch ,rather than throughing them as waste products to combate growing environmental crises. They argue in this way we could save our environment from becoming problematic, as wastes are less disposed in environment and rather utilised for people. Certain countries in particular Japan and China adopt this strategy to imrove environmental concerns.
On contrary few believed that's not enough to reduce growing environmental crises . They argue to counter environmental concerns we have to minimise consumptions of products like plastic etc, less product consumption will result in less waste products to hinder ouir environment .Many developed countries like US, UK, Russia, China etc have used this technique ton improve environment and achieved significant progress.
i personally believe a balanced approach is the best way to counter this problem, as both strategies has showed sigificant progress over the course of time . governments should make sure enough of recycling is done and they should make strategies to minimise consumption of certain products and try to make effective laws to implement these strategies. Furthermore rules and laws should be made for effectively imposing those laws and strict action should be taken against those who are voilating these terms. In this way we can make our environment a live able place for now and future as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both proposed responses—recycling and reducing consumption—and state your own view that a balanced approach is best. This gives the essay a relevant overall answer. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the recycling paragraph says waste can be reused, and the consumption paragraph says less use creates less waste, but neither explains the wider effects or gives a specific, convincing example. The references to Japan, China, the US, the UK and Russia are broad claims rather than evidence, and China appears in both arguments without clarification. Your position is clear in the final paragraph, but it would be stronger if introduced earlier and supported with a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a concluding opinion. This helps the reader follow the main topic. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and several ideas are linked mechanically through repeated phrases such as “environmental concerns” and “they argue.” The opening sentence of the second view, “On contrary few believed,” does not clearly connect to the previous paragraph, while the final paragraph moves quickly from a balanced opinion to government laws and enforcement. Use clearer topic sentences and develop each point in a logical sequence—for example, explain how recycling helps, then identify its limits before moving to reduced consumption. More precise referencing would also make links between ideas easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling,” “consumption,” “waste products,” “minimise,” and “implement,” so the subject is generally clear. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “a balanced approach.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “environmentals concerns,” “consumption count,” “adopting to recyclying,” and “live able place.” Spelling errors such as “Hoever,” “throughing,” and “voilating” are noticeable and sometimes slow the reader. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “environmental concerns,” “reduce consumption,” and “recycle products,” and check spelling carefully. Avoid repeating “environmental concerns” when a precise alternative is available.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if…,” and the essay’s main meaning is usually understandable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly with subject–verb agreement, verb patterns, articles, and sentence boundaries. For example, “Growing environmentals concerns has made more people to choose” has problems with agreement and the verb pattern; “both strategies has showed” also has agreement and verb-form errors. The opening sentence runs two independent ideas together after “environmental concerns,” and the final paragraph contains a long sequence of clauses that would be clearer if divided. Practise accurate sentence patterns and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct agreement, and appropriate punctuation.
