Student answer (Band 5.0)
Majority of people thinks about recycling while some of the people belive to consume less to make the environment clean.
Most of the people are concernd the most about recycling to keep the environment clean. Most of them think that if they use recycling method they can preserve the healthy environment. Whille some of the people have a different mindset and they believe that recycling is not enough and if they consume less they can keep the environment friendly.
In my overview recycling is good for the environment, beacause it will reduce the wasted dumps and provide clean environment for us and our future. Recycling the used products will reduce the pollution every where. specially the plastic materials which is a big hazzard for the environment. Recycling can help in less production of plastic, as a contrary it is a big win for us to help keep the environmet clean.
As some of the people think that recycling is not enough to keep environment friendly but the also need to consume less. i think it consumption the the products can be limitted upto some extent but u cant stop people from using the products. for example most of the hospital contains products that are important for the patient to help them cure of even save lives when needed. like plastic drops and cyrenge. You cannot restrict them from using cyrenge that are made from plastic or suggest them to use metalic cyrenge as it can be contasious for other patients.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and give a personal position: recycling is beneficial, while reducing consumption is possible but cannot be applied without limits. The example of disposable medical equipment is relevant and helps explain why some products must still be used. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The benefits of recycling are asserted—for example, that it reduces pollution and plastic production—but the explanation of how this happens remains general. The view that people should consume less is also not explored in much detail beyond the claim that consumption cannot be stopped. Make your position clearer from the introduction and develop each side with a specific explanation or example, then state more directly how the two approaches should be balanced.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, a paragraph on recycling, and a paragraph considering reduced consumption. This gives the reader a general sense of the two sides. However, progression is limited, and some ideas are repeated, particularly the claim that recycling keeps the environment clean. Connections between points are sometimes awkward or unclear; for instance, “As some of the people think…” does not smoothly introduce the counterargument, and “as a contrary” does not clearly show the relationship between the ideas. The conclusion is also missing, so the essay ends with the medical example rather than a final summary of your view. Use clearer topic sentences, link each explanation to the task, and add a brief concluding paragraph.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling,” “pollution,” “plastic materials,” and “environment,” so the main subject is understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “keep the environment clean.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “belive,” “hazzard,” and “environmet,” which can distract the reader. Some expressions are imprecise or unnatural, including “wasted dumps,” “a big win,” and “metallic syringe.” Aim for more precise environmental vocabulary and check spelling carefully. Vary repeated phrases with suitable alternatives, and choose collocations that express your meaning accurately, such as describing waste reduction or the environmental impact of production.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if they consume less they can keep the environment friendly.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in agreement and sentence construction appear in “Majority of people thinks” and “the also need to consume less.” Other examples include “i think it consumption the the products can be limitted” and “most of the hospital contains products,” where the intended relationships between words are difficult to follow. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly the lowercase “i” and the run-on phrasing in the final paragraph. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, and proofread for agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
