Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many people believes that we should consume less as recycling is not enough. I agree with the opinion that the citizens should encourage more recycling as it helps reducing pollution in environment.
Eating less will not help in the improvement of environment. This can not be the solution to the environmental problems as a lot of humans are already suffering from malnutrition in many different parts of the world. Less consumption of food will lead to numerouse diseases.Such as,limiting the meals will result in less nutritions in body that will create deficiencies as calcium or magneisum. But recycling that waste from surroundings can help in better nutrition .
I am with the notion that people should encourage more and more recycling of plastic products like, plastic water bottles, plastic containers for food, etc. Pollution is one of the main problem in the environment especially in the big cities. Waste materials that are thrown away inthe streams and near by areas of houses leads to major production of disease causing bacterias. The waste in streams causes contaminated water that in result affects the plantation system. Recycling is important as it will help in saving a large number of trees in forests which are being destroyed in order to make areas for throwing away waste. Many important natural fossil fuels are being stored by recycling more and more goods.
To conclude, people should make more ways to recycle things taht are hard to find in local markets and save the things which re in danger of being extinct in the near future as recycling that help in improving the atmosphere of environment which will help the flowers to grow faster and cleanse the air.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a position in the opening—supporting more recycling—and return to it in the conclusion. You also give relevant examples, including plastic containers, waste in streams and the effects of contaminated water. However, the task asks you to discuss both recycling and consuming less, and the second view is not fairly explored: the paragraph about eating less treats consumption mainly as food intake and argues against it, rather than considering reduced use of goods, packaging or energy. Several claims, such as recycling improving nutrition or preserving fossil fuels, are unclear or unsupported. Develop both views accurately, then explain why your preferred approach is more effective, using a specific example or reason for each side.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable opening, body paragraphs and conclusion, and the reader can generally identify your main position. Paragraphs also group related points, such as the discussion of food consumption and the examples of plastic waste. However, progression is difficult to follow because ideas sometimes shift abruptly or do not connect logically: the claim that recycling waste can improve nutrition follows a discussion of malnutrition without explaining the link. Connectors such as “But,” “Such as,” and “To conclude” are used, but some are awkwardly attached or do not clarify the relationship between ideas. Use a clearer paragraph plan—one paragraph for each view, followed by your opinion—and make each sentence develop the paragraph’s central point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “pollution,” “contaminated water,” “deficiencies” and “fossil fuels.” These terms show an attempt to discuss environmental and health effects rather than relying only on basic words. However, several choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “better nutrition” in relation to recycling, “production of disease causing bacterias,” and “cleanse the air” as an effect of flowers growing faster. Spelling errors, including “numerouse,” “magneisum” and “taht,” also reduce accuracy. Choose vocabulary that expresses the intended environmental point precisely, and check spelling and common collocations before finishing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including clauses with “as,” “that” and “which,” and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or difficult to process. For example, “Many people believes” has subject–verb disagreement, while “Waste materials … leads” also mismatches a plural subject and verb. The sentence beginning “Such as, limiting the meals…” is a fragment, and “as it helps reducing” uses an incorrect verb pattern. There are also missing spaces after full stops and commas, which affect punctuation. Practise agreement, complete sentence construction and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence for punctuation.
