Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is a huge problem for the surroundings to maintain properly and recycling is being done but it is not possible to get rid of issues easily, however we should use less things to manage perfectly. This essay will discussed both the views followed by my opinion.
To begin with, there are several reasons why recycling is not enough. The first factor is due to the unmanaged population. To explain, many people are giving birth to the child without knowing how to run own and their life cycle. Similarly, the another reason because of ashamed to recycle. Elaborating further, people are becoming rich and do not want to use the things they show once to others people which is really bad habit and impacting nature.
On the other hand, various solutions of consuming less than before are there. Firstly, Using only limited and needed items. To clarify, if people use the items that are very much needed for them and little quantity can be used in it will be great idea to adopt by others in the process of protecting natural things for the future generation. Secondly, Using things repeatedly. For instance, whe nindividuals use the items that they have for various times without feeling ashamed of what others things is the best solution for environment protection.
In conclusion, it has both advantages and disadvantages of its own but we need to be able to clarify what's good for us and environment. Regarding my opinion, I believe, consuming the things which is very much essential and using items more times is better to make environment portection and deal less with the consquences.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and give a clear preference for consuming less, especially in the conclusion where you support using only essential items and reusing them. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The reasons offered for recycling being insufficient—population growth and people feeling ashamed to recycle—are not clearly explained or supported with a relevant example. The second body paragraph mainly presents ways to consume less, rather than fully discussing why this approach is more effective than recycling. Your position is present, but phrases such as “it has both advantages and disadvantages” make it less direct. To strengthen the response, explain the environmental impact of each view and develop your opinion with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two sides, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. For example, the link between population growth and recycling being insufficient is asserted rather than explained, while “Similarly” introduces a point that does not clearly build on the previous one. The conclusion also repeats the recommendation without clearly synthesising the discussion. Use linking phrases to show precise relationships between ideas, and make each paragraph develop one central point in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “consuming less,” “natural things,” and “future generation,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “a huge problem for the surroundings to maintain properly,” “run own and their life cycle,” and “use the things they show once to others people.” There are also spelling errors such as “portection” and “consquences.” Aim for more precise environmental vocabulary and check that words combine naturally. For instance, describe reducing “resource consumption” or “household waste,” and explain that reusable products can reduce demand for new materials.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional phrasing such as “if people use the items…” and clauses introduced by “which.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “This essay will discussed,” “the another reason,” and “the things which is very much essential.” Some sentence fragments also occur, such as “Firstly, Using only limited and needed items.” Work on forming complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and articles. For example, write “This essay will discuss both views” and “items that are essential.” Punctuation and capitalisation after introductory words also need attention.
