Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is true that environmental problems are rising rapidly in recent times. As a result, people are taking differents steps to prevent this problems. While many individuals are recycling their products to protect the environment, others are arguing that recycling is not the main solution beacuse there are other ways to reduce environmental damage such as less consuming of plastic products or those products that are harmful for surroundings.
On the one hand, a number of population believe that reusing old or waste product can significantly reduce pollutions. For example, when a product recycled it becomes usable. Therefore, it not only reduces waste but also protect the environment. Moreover, recycling also helps to develop economically, especially for those nation that lack enough resources. In fact, this development happens while maintaining the environmental damage.
On the other hand, a small proportion of individuals think that people should consume less products such as a product made by plastic or microplastic while continuing recycling. Because these steps prevent the most concerning problem regarding environment and our surroundings. For instance, recycling reduces waste but reducing waste is not enough to stop environmental threat. Because if we continue to consume more, at one point recycling all wastes may not be possible for us. Consequently, it leads to increasing waste and environmental problems.
To conclude, be practical in life and be resonsible or use only essential products as impotant as recycling. because it demotivate companies to make more plastic products. So, i support that consuming less is important.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear opinion in the conclusion: you support consuming less while recognising recycling as important. The discussion of recycling includes relevant points about reducing waste and helping countries with limited resources, while the opposing view explains that continued high consumption can eventually make recycling insufficient. These ideas answer the question, but some are less fully developed than others. For example, the economic benefit of recycling is mentioned without explaining how it arises, and the point about companies responding to lower demand could be connected more explicitly to your argument. Develop each main claim with a clearer explanation or a specific example, and make your position evident earlier as well as in the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The signposts “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” make the progression easy to follow, and the contrast between recycling and reducing consumption is generally clear. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, cohesion is occasionally mechanical, and sentence fragments beginning “Because” interrupt the flow in the final body paragraph. Some links between claims also need clearer explanation—for instance, how recycling supports economic development. Use a wider range of natural transitions and connect each example directly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “recycling,” “environmental damage,” “resources,” and “consume,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “environmental threat” and “microplastic.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, word-form, and spelling errors reduce precision: “differents steps,” “a number of population,” “less consuming,” and “resonsible” are examples. Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “maintaining the environmental damage.” Build accuracy with common topic collocations and check spelling and word forms. More precise alternatives would help you express the relationship between consumption, waste, and environmental harm clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “While” and conditional structures such as “if we continue to consume more.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “it not only reduces waste but also protect the environment,” missing articles in “when a product recycled,” and plural or determiner problems in “consume less products.” The sentence beginning “Because these steps prevent…” is incomplete, as is the later sentence beginning “Because if we continue…”. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent in the conclusion. Practise complete sentence construction, agreement, and articles, then proofread each sentence for a clear subject and main verb.
