Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You introduce the topic and indicate that you intend to discuss both views, but the response does not actually develop either side of the question or give a clear personal opinion. The opening says, “In this essay i will elaborate both viewpoint,” yet no discussion of why people recycle or why reducing consumption may be more effective follows. The fragment “First and the Formost reason while doing recyle help reduce the pollution and save the energy o” begins a potentially relevant point, but it is incomplete and unsupported. The response is also substantially below the required 250 words, so the task is addressed only minimally. To improve, explain both positions, state your own view, and support each main idea with a reason or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: an introductory paragraph is followed by a paragraph beginning “There is a significant reason behind this notion,” and phrases such as “First” signal a sequence. However, the ideas do not progress into a complete discussion, and the second paragraph ends abruptly mid-sentence. The opening also promises to cover both viewpoints without showing how the essay will move between them. The connector “While” is used awkwardly after a full stop, which interrupts the flow. Build a clear sequence with separate paragraphs for recycling, consuming less, and your opinion, and use linking expressions to show the relationship between ideas rather than simply announcing them.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “pollution,” “save the energy,” and “consume less,” so the subject is recognisable. However, spelling and word-choice errors are frequent enough to make parts difficult to interpret: “arguement,” “rapidy,” “recyele,” and “recyle” appear in the opening and body. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “concern of the atmosphere” and “recycling is to enough.” The vocabulary range is limited in this short response, and the errors reduce precision. Check spelling carefully and learn common environmental collocations, for example “concern about the environment,” “reduce waste,” and “conserve energy.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both a complex opening sentence and a simple statement of purpose, but control is inconsistent. For example, “There is a arguement that concern of the atmosphere rapidy and majority of the people opting recyele” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “While, few individuals ponder…” is not correctly connected to the preceding sentence. In “First and the Formost reason while doing recyle help reduce the pollution,” the clause structure and subject–verb relationship are unclear, and the final “o” leaves the sentence unfinished. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “i.” Practise complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check articles, clause links, and sentence endings before submitting.
