Student answer (Band 5.0)

As environtment was growing that people was choosing recyclec however some of that suggest that only recycling is not nacessary, they have to stop using thing that were not recycled.

While recycling plays a vital role in managing waste, it is ultimately incomplete without a simultaneous effort to consume less.

In my opinion, I agree on second option that recycling is not enough we should need to consume less. Many things that are not been recycled so that causing environmental damaged such as, use of plastics, fuel emmision, etc,. People should must be aware from this things. As environment was increasing so it is our duty to maintain nature. Moreover, only recycling is not an option we should have to stop using the things that have been harmful to environment. They think by recycling things can be used over and over with no need to throw them away. They also refer that by recycling, the rates of using other harmful ways such as burning or digging wastes would be declined and our nature will be saved.

On the other hand, many people were using lots of entity that has been recycled after use. Their are now eco-friendly car were made so that it can not cause and environment harm. The things that has been recycled were, papers, edible spoons made from grains, and many other materials that built to recycle. However, some of the people not intrested to protect so they were using non recycled products it may cause our up coming generation.

To conclude, reiterate that recycling is a necessary tool, but a permanent solution to environmental degradation requires a cultural and economic shift toward lower overall consumption

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view that consumption should fall as well as recycling, especially in “recycling is not enough” and the conclusion’s call for lower consumption. You also mention reasons supporting recycling, such as reusing materials and reducing waste disposal, so both views are present. However, the discussion is uneven: the case for consuming less is asserted more than explained, while the recycling paragraph lists examples without showing clearly how they support that view. Some claims, such as “environment was increasing,” are unclear, and the response does not develop a specific example or explain the consequences in detail. To strengthen the response, explain each side with a clear cause-and-effect chain and support your opinion with a relevant, concrete example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, separate discussion paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “In my opinion,” “Moreover” and “On the other hand” help signal the intended structure. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several different points are joined without clear links. For example, the paragraph beginning “In my opinion” moves from plastics and fuel emissions to recycling and waste disposal, making the relationship between ideas unclear. The recycling paragraph also shifts from recycled products to people who do not protect the environment. Some linking expressions are repetitive or do not accurately show the relationship between sentences. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “environmental degradation,” “eco-friendly” and “overall consumption,” and the final sentence shows an effort to express a broader environmental argument. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make meaning less clear. Examples include “entity” for items or products, “environment was increasing,” and “fuel emmision.” Phrases such as “environmental damaged” and “harmful to environment” also show weak control of word forms and natural collocations. Build a more precise set of topic expressions, such as “reduce household waste,” “carbon emissions” and “non-recyclable products,” and check spelling and collocation when revising.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast introduced by “While” and a concluding sentence with a dependent clause. However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction can make the argument difficult to follow. For example, “people was choosing” has incorrect agreement, “they have to stop using thing” has a number error, and “Many things that are not been recycled so that causing…” is not a complete, correctly formed sentence. The opening sentence is also difficult to parse because its clauses are not connected accurately. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time and check each sentence for a complete main clause.
