The charts below show the number of French adults whose parents spoke a French regional language to them when they were children and the number who speak a French regional language to their own children.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

The given bar charts describe the number of French adults whose parents spoke a regional language to them when they were young and the number of people who speak a French regional language to their children.

Overall, the first charts have the language Occitan being the highest on both graph, while Corsican is the opposite. For the third chart, Alsatian was recorded to be the most dominant on the chart.

The regional language Occitan and Alsatian were both recorded to be most spoken habitually by the adults' parents; however, the number of occasional Alsatian speaker falls to approximately 250 thousands. On the contrary, the number of occasional Occitan speakers stood at around 1075 million people, retaining its place as the most spoken language. Both Breton, Creole and Corsican have the lowest figures among the five across both charts.

Regarding the third chart, the number of adults who speak Alsatian to their children stood at 400 thousands, constrasting its position in the first two graph. As for Occitan, it only has roughly 250 thousand speakers, placing it in the second place in the graph.
