The chart illustrates the figures of French adults whose parents spoke a French regional language to them when they were children and the number who speak a French regional language to their own children. At a glance, Alsatian native pass on their native language to their children the most as compare to other native language speakers.

To commence with, Alsatian and Occitan both are similarly spoken habitually around 600 thousand people. In contrast, Alsatian is less spoken occasionally as compared to Occitan which is around 1.1 million people. Native language like Breton, Creole, Corsican are slightly less spoken either habitually and occasionally approximately under 500 thousand.
