The charts below show the number of French adults whose parents spoke a French regional language to them when they were children and the number who speak a French regional language to their own children.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

The charts illustrate the amount of French adults whose parents habitually and occasionally spoke a French regional language to them when they were kids and the amount who speak a French regional language to their own kids. The number of adults are measured in sums of thousands.

Overall, Occitan is the leading language among other languages which is spoken occasionally by parents of adults when they were children. Corsican is spoken by very less number of adult's parents when they were kids. Alsatian is spoken more commonly as compared to other languages given by adults to their own kids.

The language which was used more commonly by up to 1.1 million adult's parents while talking to them occasionally when they were kids is Occitan.
