Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to fully address the task requirements. While it attempts to describe the data, the analysis is superficial and lacks a clear overview of the trends. The report is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence ('speaking reg'), which prevents a full development of the response. Furthermore, the data interpretation is inconsistent; for instance, the mention of '600 thousands' is imprecise, and the comparison between the two charts is not clearly structured. To improve, ensure you provide a clear summary of the main trends in the introduction or overview and complete your sentences to provide a coherent conclusion. The current lack of completion significantly impacts the overall task achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay lacks logical progression and effective paragraphing. While there is an attempt to group ideas, the transitions between sentences are mechanical and often awkward, such as the repetitive use of 'If we talk about'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the lack of a completed conclusion leaves the text feeling fragmented. To reach a higher band, you should use a wider range of cohesive devices (e.g., 'consequently', 'in contrast', 'furthermore') to link ideas more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus. The abrupt ending also disrupts the overall coherence of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'childrens' (should be 'children') and 'on large scale' (should be 'on a larger scale'). The phrasing is often simplistic, and the report lacks the precise terminology required for describing statistical data, such as 'a downward trend' or 'the most prominent language'. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the lack of variety and the persistent errors in basic word forms prevent the response from reaching a higher band. Focusing on learning collocations related to data description would be highly beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('the number of adults are decreased') and incorrect pluralization ('childrens'). The sentence structures are predominantly simple, with few attempts at complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around punctuation marks. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Increasing the variety of sentence structures through the use of subordinate clauses would also help demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
