The charts below show the number of French adults whose parents spoke a French regional language to them when they were children and the number who speak a French regional language to their own children.
Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

The bar charts compare the French adults who experienced five reginal languages spoken at home during childhood with those who currently pass these languages on their own children.
Overall, exposure to regional languages was vastly higher in the older generation than in the current one. Across both generations, Alsatian and Occitan were consistently the most prominent languages, whereas Breton, Creole and Corsican were spoken by significantly fewer individuals.
In childhood, Occitan was the most widespread language overall, spoken occasionally over 800,000 adults and habitually to roughly 500,000. Alsatian followed closely, leading in habitual usage at around 600,000 adults despite a smaller occasional speaker base of under 200,000. By contrast, Breton, Creole and Corsican accounted for much lower figures, each spoken habitually to fewer than 300,000 and occasionally to under 400,000.
Regarding transmission to next generation, transmission figures dropped sharply. Alsatian remained the most widely transmitted language, spoken to 400,000 children, closely followed by Occitan at nearly 300,000. Breton, Creole and Corsican saw minimal adoption, reaching fewer than 150,000 children each.
