The charts below show the number of French adults whose parents spoke a French regional language to them when they were children and the number who speak a French regional language to their own children.

Write a report for a university lecturer describing the information below.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The first bar charts illustrate the number of adults whose parents spoke a regional language to them when they were kids. While the seconde bar graph demonstrate the number of adults who speak a regional language to thier own childern. The statistics here measured in thousands.

Overall, it is remarkable in the first chart that parents who spoke Occitan to adults in chilhood is the biggest groupe. While the less language was Corsican. But in the seconde chart it is defferent, it is noticed that Alsatian is the most language adults speak to their own childern. Corsian still the last one for the present time too.

In the previous time, more than million parent spoke Occitan language to them childern occasionally, But only 600 thousend did it habitually. Alsatian has the same number, while Breton come third by approximatly 300 thousands, Creole and Corsican are the lowest language parents spoke to thier childer by almost 200 thousands for both of them.

In the new genration, Alastian language has the hieghest figure with 400 thousands of parents speak this language to thier children. Compared to the other languages it is very high number, because the second language is Occitan by approximating to 250 thousands, Berton, Creole and Corsican had almost similar number by less than 100 thousand parents speak these languages for their kids for three languages.
