In some societies, stress is now regarded as a major problem, and it is thought that people suffer from more stress than they did in the past. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

In some societies, stress is now regarded as a major problem, and it is thought that people suffer from more stress than they did in the past. However, others feel that the amount of stress people have today is exaggerated. They say that previous generations were under more pressure, but the idea of suffering from stress did not exist.

So suffer from more stress like little bites hard to understand because we have to save our mints to choosing easy ways to go anywhere but we use internet then its be easy maps knows the every way. This problem about more stress are not good.

In now where we are live their is future and have more technology to understand easily not suffering with problems because we just type to map where we want to go then we seen the multiple ways to rose and this is easy way to using map in phone or yours car ai.

In my own ideas this is not very big problem to scuffing with more stress handle with device, phone or ai to get exist from stress.

EXAMPLE: one i an stock in very big city which is called karachi. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response attempts to address the prompt but fails to develop the arguments in a meaningful way. While you mention that stress is a problem and that technology helps, the ideas are not clearly linked to the prompt's core discussion regarding whether modern stress is exaggerated compared to the past. The response is largely anecdotal and lacks a clear, structured argument. The position is difficult to follow due to the lack of logical development. To improve, ensure you clearly state your opinion and provide distinct, well-explained reasons for both sides of the argument before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay lacks logical progression. Paragraphs are not used effectively to separate ideas, and the transition between sentences is often disjointed. There is a lack of cohesive devices, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of your argument. For example, the jump from discussing stress to the example about Karachi is abrupt and lacks a clear connection to the topic. To improve, use linking words such as 'furthermore', 'however', and 'consequently' to connect your ideas, and ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, clear point.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is very limited and often inaccurate, which frequently impedes communication. Phrases like 'save our mints' and 'rose' (likely intended as 'routes') are unclear and do not fit the context. You rely on basic, repetitive language and struggle to express complex ideas related to the topic of stress. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to society, technology, and mental health, and practice using these words in complete, grammatically correct sentences.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that make the text difficult to understand. There are significant issues with sentence structure, verb tense, and word order (e.g., 'In now where we are live their is future'). Many sentences are fragmented or lack proper subject-verb agreement. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple, error-prone sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb-object patterns, and proofread your work to correct basic tense and preposition errors.
