Stress is major problem in the contemporary society. Some people believe that stress is more at today then their parent times while other believe they were at more stress. In this essay I will discuss the both views.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The essay addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, fulfilling the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the paragraph on past generations is relatively clear, the arguments regarding modern stress are somewhat disjointed and lack logical flow. For instance, the connection between 'technical fields' and 'stress' is not clearly explained, making the argument feel underdeveloped. To improve, ensure that each main point is supported by a clear explanation and a concrete example that directly relates to the prompt's core question about the nature of stress.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often hindered by awkward phrasing and a lack of cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are frequently missing or mechanical, such as the abrupt start to the second paragraph. The use of referencing is also unclear at times, making it difficult for the reader to follow the logical progression of your argument. To improve, focus on using linking words like 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'in contrast' to connect your ideas more fluidly and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors that impede clarity, such as 'the pattern of comparing you with other result unhappy' and 'momentum of the people'. These errors suggest a struggle with collocations and idiomatic usage. While you attempt to use topic-related vocabulary like 'infrastructure' and 'communicable disease', the overall control is inconsistent. To reach a higher band, focus on learning word families and common collocations rather than isolated words, and try to use more precise terminology to express your ideas.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often affect the clarity of your message. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'stress is major problem'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward sentence structures that make reading difficult. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the ones attempted are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that every sentence has a clear subject and verb. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles ('a', 'the') and pluralisation would also significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
