You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
There is no society in the world which is untouched by the phenomena of stress. Recent studies indicate that this trend is only likely to accentuate in the coming decades considering the ground realities of the modern world. This essay shall analyse the reasons behind the stress and how extend individuals in the contemporary and ancient times faced it. However, I stand with the notion that individuals at present suffer severe pressure than the past.
To begin with, stress is a health condition which is caused due to anxiety, excess tension and pressure. Nowadays, many people experience it in one way or the other. Stress can be experienced in academic, work or even from personal life scenarios. For instance, if a student is trying hard to secure good grades through consistency and hard work but unable to accomplish it. This create stress, the world around us is too compitative even one mark can have a drastic impact in our life in many compitative exams. Our world is growing in a rapid pace, industrilisation have boomed and lifestyle had enhanced to next level. Although, globalization has a positive impact it also creates a negative effect by widening the gap between rich and poor. Rich becoming richer while poor becoming poorer. Economically backward communities face difficulty to find their basic necessities to survive. Hence by considering how to meet the end the adults also face stress. On the other hand, rich people are conscious in their work pressure. Many start ups and business are run by taking loans and if any trouble occur then this create tension and anxiety.
Nevertheless, people in past also had problems in their life but the way of lifestyle was entirely different were they lived life in a peaceful way away from chaos. Rise in stress and depression are the major reason why many people consult psycologist in-order to maintain their mental well-being. In ancient times there were discrimination based on caste, colour, religion and economical background. Moreover this might affect them badly but that was more likely their standard of living. At that point, they were not exposed to better living condition. Globalization have not evolved and all were at the same boat.
In a nutshell, life is not a bed of roses. Problems will pop up in life it is important to understand the depth and find solution to the root cause behind it. Everything happens for a reason. If there are no troubles then how can an individual become bold and stronger. Stress need to be handled in a gentle manner. It is advised to consult a medical professional. If not treated then can affect our health and cause other illness. Suffice to say that, recent times people face more stress than our ancestors.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all parts of the prompt, including both views and your own opinion. Your position is clear from the introduction and maintained throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While you provide examples for modern stress, the discussion regarding the past is less detailed and relies on generalizations about 'living in the same boat.' To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments are supported with more specific, analytical evidence rather than broad statements. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, focusing more on general advice than summarizing the core arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Nevertheless,' and 'In a nutshell.' However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the connection between sentences is weak. For example, the shift from discussing globalization to the financial struggles of startups in the second paragraph is abrupt. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, which forces the reader to work harder to follow your train of thought. Improving the flow between sentences would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'accentuate,' 'contemporary,' and 'industrialisation.' However, there are several spelling errors ('compitative,' 'industrilisation,' 'psycologist') and some awkward collocations ('how extend individuals,' 'at the same boat'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precision. To improve, focus on using less common lexical items more accurately and proofreading for common spelling mistakes. Your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, but it lacks the sophistication and precision required for higher band scores.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('This create stress,' 'industrilisation have boomed'), incorrect verb forms ('individuals at present suffer severe pressure than the past'), and punctuation errors. While you attempt complex sentences, they often contain errors that distract the reader. To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate better control over complex structures and ensure that your basic grammar, particularly regarding tense consistency and pluralization, is more accurate.
