Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both viewpoints and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention unemployment and hectic schedules as causes of stress, these points are not fully extended with specific examples or deep analysis. The discussion of past generations is more detailed, but the argument remains somewhat superficial. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph contains a clear topic sentence followed by a well-developed explanation and a concrete example. The conclusion is quite brief and could have better synthesised the main arguments presented in the body paragraphs to provide a more robust final stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'However' to link your points. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'regarding to this is explained in ensuing paragraphs'. Referencing is generally clear, but the connection between sentences could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that the relationship between ideas is explicitly stated rather than just implied.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'financial instability', 'technological advancements', and 'hectic schedule'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'ignorance to the physical activities' (instead of 'lack of physical activity') and 'getting denial from job positions' (instead of 'being rejected for jobs'). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and there is a reliance on basic phrasing. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic collocations and avoid repetitive structures.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'stress were totally absent' (subject-verb agreement), 'they had to worked a lot' (incorrect verb form), and 'every situations' (plurality error). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage in the introduction. To achieve a higher score, you need to demonstrate better control over complex structures and ensure that basic grammatical rules, such as subject-verb agreement and tense consistency, are applied accurately throughout the text.
