Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many argued that stress is the major issue of any society. Some believe that people these days are suffering more with stress than in the past, while some people think that previous generation were under more pressure and stress. I partially agree with both of these views and this essay will be prove that.
These days, everything around us is developing at a unusual rapid pace. So, for that, most of the people working hard to achieve their goals and lending their mind power in the development of their surroundings. For example, people dedicating their most of the time to train Artificial Intelligence, which is helping them in many ways as well. To train these AI, it take a lot of time and in return they get more anxiety and stress. Furthermore, other than this, many people working to build larger building with complex structure to get acknowledge by other people. This method also making them mentally stressed with obsession of fame.
On the other hand, people from the previous generation, don't have that much complexity in their work. So, they don't have to put much burden onto their mind and that's why they were not get stressed. In addition to this, in the past, there were more natural ways to relax mind and body, and with that, they were more happy and less stressed than the people of this era.
I conclusion, this era people were more stress is the major problem for many societies and it were quite high these days as many people doing suicide. The reason may be differ from getting debt with loan or many other reason as well

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses both views presented in the prompt and provides a personal opinion, though the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. The arguments regarding AI and architecture are specific but lack depth, and the conclusion is underdeveloped and contains a sudden, unsupported mention of suicide. The position is clear, but the supporting evidence is not fully extended, leading to a somewhat superficial treatment of the topic. To improve, you should focus on providing more nuanced explanations for your claims and ensuring that your conclusion effectively synthesizes the points raised rather than introducing new, sensitive topics.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'Furthermore', 'In addition to this'). There are instances where the logical flow is disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs. The conclusion is particularly weak in terms of cohesion, as it feels disconnected from the preceding arguments. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there is a lack of precision and some noticeable errors in word choice. For example, 'lending their mind power' and 'get acknowledge' are non-standard collocations that impede the natural flow of the text. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary related to stress and modern life, the range is somewhat limited. To reach a higher band, focus on learning more sophisticated collocations and idiomatic expressions, and ensure you are using words in their correct grammatical form (e.g., 'acknowledgment' instead of 'acknowledge').
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the essay, particularly with verb tenses and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Many argued', 'it take a lot of time', 'this method also making them'). The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the text from achieving a higher score. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs agree with their subjects and that tenses are used consistently throughout the essay.
