Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, many individual now beleive in some societies, stress is now regarded as a major issue, and it is thought that people now suffer from more stress they did in past. However, others feel that the amount of stress people have today is exacaggerated. They say that previous generations were under more pressure, but the idea of suffering from stress did not exist. In my opp opinion, I believe that now people suffer more stress from past as now there is more competetion between society and everyone is doing hardwork to compete with others which leads to tension and stress. In this essay, I will discuss both these views and give my opinion.
To embark with, people now suffer from more stress than they did in past as today there is way more competetion between people whether they are working or student as nowadays students wants to score more than other students and people doing jobs to earn more. Furthermore, the scarcity of jobs and inflation is another two big reason as population is increasing but there are less jobs which leads to increase in competetion to achieve jobs. For example: In past to get a job people who are just 12 pass got jobs but now degree is compersory to get the same job.
Nevertheless, other technology has helped much to reduce people stress as work such as household and agriculture which was considered as a hardworking job but now with the help of technology like washing machines and tractors had made done the job easy. Students now had numerous study resources for learning better like internet and online videos which has made learning very easy but increase in competetion between students has lot of stress than in the past. Moreover, farmers in the past do agriculture for self consumption but now farmers sell grains to earn money which has increased stress to earn money and self consumption from same peice of land.
In conclusion, it is true that people now suffer from more stress than they did in past as due to incerase in comperetion between society and rise in inflation. Now people have more different technology but stress is now increased in people's life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the first body paragraph provides relevant examples regarding job competition and education, the second paragraph is slightly confusing. It attempts to argue that technology reduces stress but then pivots back to how competition increases it, which weakens the logical flow of the argument. The position is clear, but the supporting evidence could be more nuanced to fully explore the complexity of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To embark with', 'Nevertheless', and 'In conclusion'. However, some of these transitions are used incorrectly or sound unnatural, such as 'To embark with' (which should be 'To begin with') and 'other technology has helped much'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, which hinders the overall progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'beleive', 'exacaggerated', 'competetion', 'compersory', and 'comperetion'. These errors are noticeable and detract from the quality of the writing. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'inflation' and 'self-consumption', the overall lexical control is limited, and the repetition of basic words like 'stress' and 'people' suggests a need for a wider range of synonyms and better collocation awareness.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'students wants', 'farmers... do agriculture'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'stress from past as now there is'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of colons and commas. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band score.
