Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 158 words. This significantly impacts the development of the argument. While you attempt to address both sides of the prompt, the ideas are underdeveloped and lack sufficient supporting evidence or examples. The position is stated but not fully explored, and the essay ends abruptly, leaving the discussion incomplete. To improve, you must expand on your points with detailed explanations and concrete examples to ensure all parts of the task are fully addressed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, such as 'The foremost argument' and 'Furthermore'. There are issues with sentence structure that disrupt the flow of ideas, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly relates to the prompt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'more come in todays generation' and 'in every categories'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. You rely on simple phrasing, which limits your ability to convey nuance. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and pay closer attention to collocations and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including punctuation issues (e.g., 'It has been observed that, stress'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence fragments (e.g., 'The foremost argument to justify my stand is that stress. Nowadays, has increased...'). The range of structures is limited, and the errors often impede the clarity of your message. You should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically avoiding fragments and ensuring correct punctuation before attempting more complex structures.
