Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, everyone is so busy in their lives. Some people says stress is a huge problem from which lots of people suffer now as compared to past. Whereas, some say, people in the past experience more pressure also, there is no term like stress ever find. I will discuss both views along with my opinion in the forthcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, people find it challenging to balance the work life and personal life. Owing to this, they feel more burden and end up with feeling depressed. To cope up with inflation everyone in the family is working and no one have enough time to spend together, talk to each other, share problems and find solutions. For instance, if a men is doing a full time and a part time job while by the time he returns to home he is so tied and feel anxious, stressed with the overload of the work he end up with some chronic disease. It is more common now because no one is there to help, to talk or to make them feel relaxed.
On the flip side, there was not enough resources in the past and usually men go outside to work and earn money. He needs to fulfill all his families needs from food, clothing and education to their children. There is burden that can be feel in the past but there always family who support each other, they sit together and talk to each other as a result, people feel relaxed.
To conclude, without a doubt, the past generation people have more stress as compared to nowadays. Due to lack of resources availability people used to travel miles to fulfill their families needs and sometimes it takes so long to return to home. They never give up does not matter how difficult situation is family is their biggest strength.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides an opinion, though the position is somewhat contradictory. In the introduction, you state you will discuss both views, but the conclusion shifts to a definitive stance that the past generation had more stress, which is not fully supported by the preceding arguments. The ideas are relevant but lack depth; for instance, the explanation of why past generations were stressed is somewhat repetitive and relies on generalizations. To improve, ensure your opinion is clearly stated in the introduction and consistently supported throughout the body paragraphs with more nuanced evidence rather than simple assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'On the flip side', and 'To conclude'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the logical progression within paragraphs is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing. For example, the transition between the discussion of modern stress and the comparison to the past could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, but some sentences feel disjointed, which impacts the overall coherence. Using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one would improve the score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You use basic terms like 'huge problem', 'busy', and 'burden' repeatedly. There are also some collocation errors, such as 'no term like stress ever find' and 'there was not enough resources'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated or less common lexical items limits the score. To improve, focus on learning collocations (e.g., 'alleviate stress' instead of 'cope up with stress') and using more academic synonyms for common words to demonstrate a broader range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('some people says', 'no one have'), article usage ('the past', 'a men'), and tense consistency. Additionally, there are errors in sentence construction, such as 'there is burden that can be feel in the past'. While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
