Student answer (Band 5.5)
In specific region, stress becomes the major issue nowadays and a conflicts develop in people that people face more stress right now than in past but few people argue that stress were more common in past time, they felt more pressure as compared to todays. The hype of stress known today people do not have idea about being stressed at that time.
Overall, stress has always been a major problem people suffering from now and before. Also I believe this generation named this disease "stress" actually it has been common among people. Here are few of the reason why people felt or feeling stress.
Starting from past, people used to do a lot of work on their own using all of their body, excessive hard work without any rest and no self improvement, poor posture built pressure on head and spine this made them feel exhausted and tired. Moreover there were no concept of anxiety, stress or therapy at all. Nowadays if one child want her/his personal space or wants get a therapy, our elders turns speechless and confused, what it would be for? why you want this kind of useless activities? In simple words anxiety and stress were present in past people but did not recognized it.
Secondly, stress nowadays is becoming very active problem in whole society overall. everyone is worried about work pressure, financial pressure or family pressure and so on. Main reason for it be the race we are running for is wrong, we people go behind trends and fashion which makes our minds slow. Everyone, in this world wanted to grow faster, and succeed earlier than others this causes a lot of pressure on people.
in end i must say stress is being common now and in past too because the race we are inn is wrong this should be control. we should control our choices, plan b

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and occasionally repetitive. For instance, the explanation of why past generations suffered from stress is focused on physical labor and posture, which is a narrow interpretation. The discussion on modern stress is also quite general, focusing on 'trends and fashion' without deep analysis. To reach a higher band, you need to provide more nuanced arguments and clearer evidence to support your claims. The conclusion is abrupt and lacks a summary of the main points discussed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'In specific region' at the start or 'in end i must say' in the conclusion. There are also issues with referencing; for example, the transition between the past and present is somewhat abrupt. While there is a logical progression of ideas, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the occasional misuse of transition signals make the flow feel disjointed at times.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'major problem', 'hard work', and 'pressure'. There are also instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'the hype of stress' and 'everyone is worried about work pressure... and so on'. Some word choices are imprecise, such as 'active problem' instead of 'prevalent issue'. To improve, you should focus on using more academic collocations and synonyms to express your ideas more clearly and professionally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('stress were more common'), missing articles ('In specific region'), and punctuation errors (run-on sentences and missing capitalization). For example, 'everyone, in this world wanted to grow faster' contains an unnecessary comma and incorrect tense usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
