Student answer (Band 5.0)
There is a great debate nowadays in some societies that stress is now regarded as a major problem and let people suffer from more stress than they did in the past. Meanwhile, others feel that the amount of stress individual have today is exaggerated. In my opinion i believe that stress enlarge nowadays for several reason .
on one side of argument, there is people who believe that previous generation were under more pressure than new generation but still stress did not exist. Festival , in the last few decades there are several technology that doesn't exist like phone , pc, tv and of Corse internet and that's lead to healthy society . Furthermore, the economic situation does not create competition and selfishness you can work only 6 hours per day and can survive.IN Addition people in the previous time can communicate between them and tell their work secret or help each others in numerous subject, consequently the person will feel that he is related to someone and he it's not alone. For Instance , if someone in work struggling with some task he will find help from his comrade and in result he will be thankful and feel the corporation in his life even in pressure.
On the other hand, people think that the new generation complaining from stress even in more leisure and entertainment service and i think that's a stupid idea , i mean you can say that this generation live in the worst decades ever. In the first place the internet boost the feeling of reduction and minimize interaction between individuals, in result that's lead to loneliness. Another argument that i can put it in the table that world economies has down so some people who are in the poor condition must work for 7 days in the week to cover their expensive.
In conclusion, while both views are commonly held in societies , i believe that stress is not an option for the new generation but it's a result from world evolution.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on stress in modern versus past societies and provides a clear, albeit basic, personal opinion. The ideas are relevant and supported with explanations, such as technological advancements and economic pressures. However, some arguments are underdeveloped or overly simplistic, aligning best with Band 6. For instance, the discussion on how technology leads to a healthy society versus loneliness contains contradictory leaps in logic without full elaboration. Additionally, the positioning and development of ideas are somewhat hindered by surface-level argumentation. The writer takes a clear stance in the introduction and conclusion, satisfying the core prompt requirements adequately.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, cohesive devices are frequently faulty or mechanical, such as the awkward transitional phrase "on one side of argument" and "Festival" instead of "First of all". Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical progression between sentences is disrupted by mechanical errors. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two opposing views, but the internal cohesion requires better linking words and smoother transitions to achieve a higher band score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, with attempts at less common words like "exaggerated", "competition", and "selfishness". However, there are numerous word choice and word form errors throughout the text, such as "individual" instead of "individuals", "enlarge" instead of "is enlarged", and "reduction" instead of "seclusion" or "isolation". Spelling errors also occur, such as "Corse" instead of "course" and "expensive" instead of "expenses". These lexical inadequacies and errors occasionally strain the reader, fitting comfortably into the Band 5 descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, tenses, and capitalization, such as "let people suffer" instead of "leads people to suffer", "there are several technology that doesn't exist" instead of "there was no technology", and lowercase starting letters like "i". Punctuation is also erratic with spaces before commas and periods. While some complex sentences are formed, the density of grammatical errors causes noticeable difficulty for the reader at times, supporting a Band 5 score.
