Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response attempts to discuss both views regarding stress and give a personal opinion, meeting the minimum length requirement. However, the development of ideas is heavily hindered by severe language fragmentation and disjointed phrasing. While phrases like 'stress is now regarding as a major problem' touch upon the prompt, the arguments quickly devolve into disconnected clauses and irrelevant tangents regarding nature, diversity, and innovation. The writer's position is partially stated ('I partialy agree with this assesion'), but it is not consistently supported throughout the essay due to the lack of coherent reasoning. Overall, the response addresses the task only partially and the ideas remain largely under-developed and unclear, aligning best with Band 5.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The organisational structure of the essay is highly problematic. Although the writer attempts to use sequence markers such as 'One of the most frequently cited argument', 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'Secondly', these cohesive devices are frequently misused and applied mechanically, failing to guide the reader through a logical progression of ideas. Paragraphing is poorly handled, with a single massive block of text containing disparate thoughts that make it difficult to follow the central arguments. Referencing is often unclear, and transitions between sentences feel abrupt and disjointed. Consequently, the overall arrangement lacks clear progression, fitting the Band 4 descriptors.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and often inaccurate, which severely strains the reader's understanding. The student frequently misuses common words and word forms, such as 'its play a crucial impact', 'assesion' instead of 'assessment', 'prospectives' instead of 'perspectives', and 'glimps a feature' instead of 'glimpse of the future'. There are also numerous spelling and collocation errors throughout the text (e.g., 'curosity', 'concide', 'integral' spelled as 'intergral'). While there is a minimal attempt to use topic-related vocabulary like 'stress', 'anxiety', and 'society', the overall lexical control is limited, placing this response firmly in Band 4.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical control is extremely weak throughout the response. The text contains a very limited range of accurate structures, and almost every sentence features noticeable errors in basic grammar, subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and punctuation. Examples include 'stress, its play a crucial impact', 'stress is now regarding', 'If offers offers generous benefits', and 'stress is not the solution so daily excercise and walk.' Complex structures are rarely attempted, and when they are, they are heavily flawed. Errors are frequent and often obscure the intended meaning, matching the criteria for a Band 4 score.
