You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
Major portion of the society was concerned about their physical health earlier. However a shift from this thinking could be seen clearly , as enourmous people are now considerate towards their mental health. To an extent it could be an exagerated concept but it cannot be fully ignored. As the evolution occurs from generation to generation, transformation between the thinking and habitat of people took place in the world. In addition , an alteration of food habits and diets of humans is prominent. Since, persons are now shifted more towrds ultraprocessed intake products which effortlessly, makes a person's brain and body sensetive and vulnerable to variety of diseases. Consequently, making a human's life a disaster most people avoid the fact that diet plays major role in maintaining our health. So stress eventually comes if human intakes inappropriate diet. Taking a look at another side of the coin, which is exaggeration of stress. Some people might feel that they are under severe stressful condition but comes out that it was just in their mind. As nowdays people love to show off their hectic work environment and work life imbalance, most people pretend to be in stress.Whereas, they are actually not in that state, they lie to themselves that they are in extreme stressful surrondings because it became a trend to be in pressure. In my perspective both the ideas hold some extent of truth in it , nowadays people are generally infront of their computers and screens all the day most of the work became technical and digital which might lead to stress. In contrast to this some people use stress as an escape to the reality, for instance children now use peer pressure as an excuse for not studying well. Whereas in previous eras people where not that much calculative and where very honest towards themselves.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views on stress—that it is a growing modern problem and that it is an exaggerated trend—and includes your personal opinion at the end. However, the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, the argument linking ultra-processed diets to mental stress is introduced, but it lacks sufficient explanation and support. Similarly, the notion that people fake stress as a social trend is touched upon briefly without deeper elaboration. To reach a higher level, you should extend your arguments further, providing more detailed examples and ensuring every main point is fully explored in relation to both perspectives.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some basic organisation in the essay, attempting to address different viewpoints in separate sections, but there is no clear overall progression throughout the text. Cohesive devices are sometimes inadequate, inaccurate, or used in a repetitive manner. For example, transitions like 'In addition' and 'In contrast to this' are introduced, but referencing is not always clear, and the logical links between sentences can be disjointed. Paragraphing is also somewhat erratic, with the main body starting abruptly without clear separation. To improve, you need to ensure a smoother flow of ideas from one sentence to the next and use cohesive devices more accurately to guide the reader through your arguments.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is minimally adequate for the task, providing a limited range that allows you to communicate basic ideas. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form that cause some difficulty for the reader. Instances such as 'enourmous' instead of 'enormous', 'exagerated' instead of 'exaggerated', 'sensetive' instead of 'sensitive', and 'surrondings' instead of 'surroundings' detract from the quality of the writing. While you attempt some less common items like 'ultraprocessed', inaccuracies in collocation and spelling prevent the vocabulary from feeling precise or flexible. Expanding your vocabulary and checking your spelling will help elevate your score in this area.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your writing demonstrates a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple constructions, and your attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader, such as issues with subject-verb agreement, missing articles, and awkward punctuation placement (e.g., 'However a shift', 'In addition , an alteration'). Verb tenses and forms also show instability, such as 'people where not that much calculative and where very honest'. To progress, you should work on increasing the variety of your sentence structures while improving your control over basic grammatical rules, punctuation, and clause structures to ensure your sentences are error-free more consistently.
