Student answer (Band 4.5)
in my opinion both views are precise when it come to
In some societies, stress is now regarded as a major problem, and it is thought that people suffer from more stress than they did in the past. this is due to today youth suffer more they care more about their future they overthink more moreover they want to become independent and have seperate life for instance todays world is totally social media so they compare themselves with other but in past people donot think alot about future they only enjoy the moment they are experiencing so this is the reason they are less stressfull
and when it come to However, others feel that the amount of stress people have today is exaggerated. previous generations were under more pressure, but the idea of suffering from stress did not exist in this case this is also correct due to today people overthinks alot about future they donnot enjoy the present moment they just think if we donot do this what will happen and todays technology is so advance that only depend upon it ,they only stress about difficulty in maintaining work life balance, pressure to suceed quickly, financial problems and unempolyment so that why they are stressfull but in past people suffer from lack of technology they have to do more practical work for instance agriculture work because they donot have nay equipments they were under more presure but they also know how to enjoy thier lives how to behave how to distribute work they eat healty food items so they were strong as compare to today society

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
First, it must be noted that the response contains only 211 words, which falls short of the minimum requirement of 250 words, with 56 words copied directly from the prompt uncounted. The essay addresses the task only partially and lacks a clear overall position. While the writer attempts to discuss both views regarding modern stress and past pressure, the ideas remain limited, repetitive, and under-developed. For instance, the mention of social media comparison and lack of past equipment is introduced abruptly without sufficient elaboration or clear examples. To reach a higher band, the writer must fully develop each argument with robust explanations and meet the minimum word count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response shows a lack of clear overall progression and organization. Information and ideas are not arranged coherently, and the text lacks standard paragraphing, appearing instead as a single large block of text. Cohesive devices are either missing, inadequate, or mechanical, leading to run-on sentences and a disjointed flow. For example, transitions like 'and when it come to' are repetitive and ineffective at guiding the reader through the arguments. To improve coherence, the writer should use distinct paragraphs for each view and the conclusion, employing a wider variety of accurate cohesive markers to signal logical relationships between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task. The writer relies on basic and repetitive phrasing, such as 'stressfull', 'future', and 'technology'. There are noticeable lexical errors and issues with word formation and spelling, including 'seperate', 'donot', 'overthinks', 'advance', 'suceed', 'unempolyment', and 'healty'. These errors sometimes cause difficulty for the reader. Furthermore, there is an absence of less common vocabulary or appropriate collocations. To achieve a higher band, the writer needs to expand their lexical repertoire, incorporate precise academic synonyms, and ensure accurate spelling and word formation throughout the text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty, leading to run-on sentences and punctuation failures such as missing capital letters at the beginning of sentences and a complete lack of periods. There are frequent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions, such as 'todays youth suffer more', 'people donot think alot', and 'today people overthinks'. These frequent errors can cause strain and difficulty for the reader. To improve, the writer should practice controlling complex sentence patterns, ensure correct tense usage, and apply basic punctuation rules consistently.
