You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.
Student answer (Band 4.0)
To sum up, we will talk about to stress now a days in our culture stress is very major problem, and it thought that people suffer from more stress than they did in yhe past.Others feel that the amount of stress people have today is exaggerated.
Now a days a very big reason of stress is employment and poverty. The country's situation is very bad thats reason many of people have go to stress and feel sick.
Financial condition of some people have good but mostly people and societies are very worried about inflation and poverty.
That is why the government should take steps to control inflation so that people can live their lives happily and prosperously.
In my opinion, if the people wants to chnage the government policy so they should held the country elections and select a new president of country. May be this reason can be solved to change the president of country because the current president of country have doing employment and poverty i think this solution is better than all other ideas.
In our country many of childrens have weeping to purchase a new clothes and eating to somethink new but there has no money to buy this all things they have no money to purchase things for eating.
Then, i think government should be to reduce the inflation and poverty so that people have enjoying our life happily without any stress. And students are enjoying our life and purchasing things according to our studies.
At the end, i would like to say that government should be to reduce inflation and poverty. So that people can live a comfortable life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response addresses the general topic of present-day stress and gives a clear view that government action on inflation and poverty could help. However, it does not adequately discuss both views in the question: it focuses almost entirely on current financial pressures and does not explain why earlier generations may have faced greater pressure, or why stress may be exaggerated today. The claim that changing the president is a solution is introduced but not supported with a clear explanation, and examples about children lacking money are not connected explicitly to the comparison the task asks for. To develop the response, explain each viewpoint in a separate, relevant argument and then state which you find more convincing. The 23 words copied from the prompt were not counted in the reported total; the length requirement is met, so length is not a weakness here.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.0
There is some basic organisation: the response moves from present-day causes to proposed government action and ends with a concluding statement. Simple links such as “That is why,” “In my opinion,” and “At the end” help signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is difficult to follow because the two views in the question are not organised or contrasted, and several points repeat the same call to reduce inflation and poverty. The opening says “To sum up” before the discussion has begun, while the final paragraphs repeat earlier claims rather than synthesising the argument. Paragraphing is also limited, with ideas that need separate treatment grouped together. Plan one paragraph for each view, followed by a distinct opinion and conclusion, and use references that make each point’s connection clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses a small set of relevant topic words, including “stress,” “employment,” “poverty,” “inflation,” and “government,” so the main subject is generally recognisable. It also attempts phrases such as “financial condition” and “comfortable life.” However, vocabulary is repetitive and often imprecise or unnatural, as in “go to stress,” “have weeping to purchase,” and “doing employment and poverty.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “chnage,” “somethink,” and “childrens,” further reduce control and sometimes make the intended meaning harder to understand. Build a more accurate range for discussing pressure and comparison, and check collocations and spelling. For example, describe people as “experiencing stress” and refer to “financial hardship” rather than relying repeatedly on “poverty.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The response attempts both simple statements and longer clauses, including a purpose clause in “so that people can live their lives happily” and a conditional idea beginning “if the people wants.” These attempts show some range, but control is weak: errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur throughout. Examples include “people wants,” “the current president … have doing,” and “government should be to reduce.” Several sentences join ideas without clear grammatical boundaries, as in the opening, which makes the argument harder to follow. Use reliable simple sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses with accurate verb forms. Check subject–verb agreement and ensure that modal verbs are followed directly by the base verb, as in “the government should reduce.”
