In some societies, stress is now regarded as a major problem, and it is thought that people suffer from more stress than they did in the past. However, others feel that the amount of stress people have today is exaggerated. They say that previous generations were under more pressure, but the idea of suffering from stress did not exist.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.

In many societies, stress is now considered as a major problem, and it is stated that the people now suffer more stress than they did in past. However other feel thet the amount of stress people have today is exaggerated. They say that the previous generations were under mote pressure, but the idea of suffering from stress did not exist.
The generation of today have more stress and they mainly fall for depression today becuase everyting is made mre difficult today even study and living a simple life is made more difficult today. The competition is rising rapidly that theres no chance of a person to live without competing and this compitition falls the most of generation into stress.
People in previous generation can have stress but it was not as much as common in todays generation. They have easy livings and there was not that much stress of competing for lives. They have a simple living but the genration now is under more pressure then the other generations. It is considered that this era is enjoying their lives and having all the luxaries that their elders could not imajined but they do not know that the most of generation is renting their lives out just to show that they are competing to this generations race. Our elders make their homes for their childrens coming after but now people are just renting homes and thought that making homes are useless becuase they are not able to make a home for a person even making a healthy living now days.marriges were easy back then but even marriges are made that much commplicated a young person thinks that i cant afford it now and ratio of marriges are decreasing creates a lot of stress in this generation.
In conclussion, i think that todays generation is more depressed and is in so much more stress than the previous ones.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view in the conclusion: you believe people today experience more stress. You also refer to both perspectives, contrasting modern competition and financial pressures with the claim that earlier generations had simpler lives. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The paragraph about earlier generations mainly argues that they had less stress, rather than explaining the opposing view that past generations faced greater pressure and lacked a name for it. Examples about housing and marriage are relevant to modern pressures, but their connection to stress could be explained more directly. Develop both sides fairly, then support your opinion with specific reasoning or an example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, a paragraph about present-day pressures, a longer paragraph comparing generations, and a conclusion, so there is some overall organisation. The main ideas can generally be followed, especially the links between competition, housing, marriage and stress. However, progression within the long comparison paragraph is difficult to track: it moves from luxuries to renting homes and then marriage without clear transitions or a focused topic sentence. Linking is also repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “today” and “but.” Use shorter, clearly focused paragraphs and signpost the contrast between the two views with accurate connectors such as “By contrast” and “Supporters of this view argue that…”
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “pressure,” “depressed,” and “complicated,” and you attempt phrases such as “renting their lives out” to express the strain of keeping up with others. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unclear, which sometimes makes the argument harder to understand. For example, “fall for depression” is not a natural collocation, and “competing to this generations race” does not clearly express the intended idea. Spelling errors such as “becuase,” “luxaries,” and “imajined” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a sentence beginning “They say that the previous generations…” and a longer explanation of competition and stress. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and punctuation sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “The generation of today have more stress” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “even study and living a simple life is made more difficult” has an unclear structure and agreement. Several sentences run together without full stops, especially in the long paragraph about housing and marriage. Practise building accurate complex sentences, and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb before adding further ideas.
