Student answer (Band 5.0)
In some countries, stress is regarded as major problem recently, and it is thought that individuals suffer from high stress rather in the past. Moreover, other feel that the amount of stress citizen have today is exaggerated. They say that previous generation were under more pressur, but the idea of suffering from stress did not exist. In my opinion the young generation is more stress due to more compitition and find jobs in now a days.
First argument is that the young individuals have more pressure, because the citizens have study more and try to get first position in class, so they work hard and more strain about the study. Furthermore, the young generation find jobs because many people apply the jobs and get only few people these jobs. Thus, individuals work more and learn more skills of new technology and people face more anxiety. For instance, when students work hard in their field but they feel stress because they thought that they would be succeeded in their field. People thought about this due to high compitition.
Second argument is that old individuals face many problems. The main problem is that the previous people face many madical problems, because citizens did not get proper facilities and no proper treatment of people diseases. The other is that old people work more physically and most people work as a labour. In previous eras, people had no advanced technology and face difficulties when solve problems. For example, people had face many challenges to need their facilities in few years ago.
In conclusion, the young citizens have more stress due to high compitition in jobs and education and many other works. In my opinion the previous people had less stress then younger ones.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and give a clear overall opinion: you argue that younger people face greater stress because of competition in education and employment, while also noting that earlier generations experienced physical hardship and limited medical care. These points are relevant, but the discussion is only partly developed. The paragraph about young people gives some explanation and an example, whereas the account of previous generations is less clearly connected to stress and ends with an unclear example about needing facilities. Your conclusion repeats your position but does not resolve the contrast in much detail. To strengthen the response, explain more directly how each generation’s pressures affect stress and support the comparison with specific, clearly explained examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting different views, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Furthermore,” “Thus,” and “For example” help signal relationships between points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow, and some links feel mechanical. For instance, “Second argument is that old individuals face many problems” does not clearly signal that this paragraph is presenting the opposing view, and the final example does not connect clearly to the preceding point. References such as “these jobs” and “this” are also not always precise. Use clearer topic sentences, make each example explicitly support its point, and vary linking expressions while ensuring the logical relationship is clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “pressure,” “strain,” “anxiety,” “competition,” and “advanced technology,” so the reader can generally identify your main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts of the response awkward or unclear. Examples include “high stress rather in the past,” “get first position,” “find jobs,” and “madical problems”; “pressur” and “compitition” are also misspelled. Some repeated general words, such as “people,” “problems,” and “work,” reduce precision. Build a wider set of accurate phrases for describing employment and educational pressures, and check spelling and natural word combinations when revising.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, using clauses with “because,” “when,” and “but” to explain causes and examples. However, the range is limited, and errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to interpret. For example, “previous generation were under more pressur” has a singular/plural agreement problem, while “people had face many challenges” uses an incorrect verb form. In “when students work hard in their field but they feel stress,” the clause structure is awkward and the tense is inconsistent. Practise building accurate complex sentences, especially with past-tense descriptions and cause-and-effect clauses, and check subject–verb agreement and articles.
