Student answer (Band 6.0)
Stress is a hot topic now a days. One of the popular believes is that, in past people who suffer from stress were less as compared to present. While some think that, today's generation exaggerates this problem and people in past were under more pressure but they had good coping strategies.
Both opinions are valid to some extent. In my prespctive, second belief is much aligned with what i think about this particular topic. There is no denial about stress existance. Humans have many emotions within themselves. One of them is being tired or overwhelmed. Stress comes when they can't able to manage every department of ife as per they want or as other expect them to perfrom.
In past, societal pressure was always there but people were able to cope with this pressure and save themselves from stress, anxiety and depression. These coping strategies comes from their strong human connection. People in past were more connected to each other than today. When person felt stressed, he had a good support system. Moreover, people were not aware of these fancy terms like self doubt, stress, anxiety, depression or just not being enough.
While today, this generation is of social media. They make friends on social media more than in real life. They do not put effort to build support system on which they can rely in hard times. Similarly, they are too much aware of new advancements. Mostly, they self-diagnose themselves that they have a psychological problem which in turn further stressens them.
Some people of today, use this term as a way out to skip every discussion or issue around them. "I am in stress" is the most heared phrase of today. When they can not perform up to the mark in any field, inspite of working hard again they take short cut to just complaint about being stressed and utilize that energy in grief rather than on working hard to win.
In conclusion, these are the strategies that today's geenration can use to cope with stress. It starts with consuming less of today's social media as this is one of the reasons that people have a stress of not being enough. Building actual support system that comprises of real in person adults who can listen, guide and help you to regulate rather than just keeping things to your own self.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both views and make your own position clear: you consider the idea that stress is more prevalent today, but favour the view that people may exaggerate it and that earlier generations had stronger coping networks. The examples about social-media friendships, self-diagnosis and family or community support are relevant to the question. However, the first view is addressed less fully: you acknowledge that modern life can create stress, but do not explain in much detail why people today might face greater pressures than previous generations. Some claims, such as people using stress to avoid discussion or effort, are asserted rather than supported. Develop both sides more evenly and qualify broad generalisations with a specific example or explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, paragraphs explaining your position and supporting reasons, and a concluding paragraph with practical suggestions. Ideas generally progress from social support to social media and self-diagnosis, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Similarly” help signal relationships. At times, however, the progression is less controlled. The paragraph beginning “Some people of today” introduces a further criticism without clearly connecting it to the preceding discussion, while the conclusion shifts from summarising the debate to giving advice. Some transitions, including repeated “While” and “Similarly,” feel mechanical. Make the relationship between each paragraph and your central argument explicit, and use the conclusion to synthesise both views.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “coping strategies,” “support system,” “self-diagnose,” and “psychological problem,” which allows you to discuss the issue beyond basic terms. There are also attempts at more precise expressions such as “regulate” and “societal pressure.” However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “popular believes,” “stressens,” “most heared phrase,” and “utilize that energy in grief” are examples. Some phrasing is also too informal or sweeping for an academic essay, such as “fancy terms” and “skip every discussion.” Aim for standard academic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; this will make your ideas clearer and more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including contrast clauses (“While some think…”) and a conditional structure (“When they can not perform…”). Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “people who suffer from stress were less” has an unclear comparison, “Stress comes when they can't able to manage” combines incompatible verb forms, and “When person felt stressed” is missing an article. There are also agreement and tense problems in “These coping strategies comes” and “people in past were able.” Punctuation spacing and comma placement are inconsistent, particularly in the opening and around introductory phrases. Review verb patterns, subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence punctuation, while retaining your attempts at varied structures.
