Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, in some communities stress is considered as a big issue, and it is believe that people suffer from more stress than they did in previous times because of complexity of life in today's world. In contrast, others think that the amount of stress individuals have currently is exaggerated. They say that past generations were under more pressure, but the concept of suffering from stress did not exist because of not have competitions earlier. This essay will discuss both views, and also why i believe that stress is major problem in our era.
On the one hand, in our modern world certain societies are facing the problem of stress more than previous generations. It is because of complexities of lives in modern time, it is obvious that we evolved so much than our premative times, everthing is completely changed. our today's issues are complex because of so much competition in different aspect of life. Today everyone is in race to compete with other. That is why i believe because of having though competition leads a person to worry for themselves, and for their future. For example, if a person compete with someone else, and if he lose he/she will feel inferior which as a result lead to stress.
On the other hand, some people argue that past generations were under more pressure, but the concept of stress was not existed. It is because of not having such a competition which we encouter in toady. At that time most of the people were peasents, or carpanters they were living modestly. there were no such concept of race due to which they did not felt stress as we feel today.
To conclude, some societies face stress more than previous times, because of so much competition and race which result in stress. However, past generations did not had the concept of stress of of not having competitions as today.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state your position in the introduction: you believe stress is a major problem today. The modern-pressure paragraph gives a relevant explanation—competition can make people worry about their future—and an example involving someone who loses to a competitor. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The account of earlier generations mainly says that people were peasants or carpenters and faced less competition; it does not explain the pressures they may have experienced or support the claim that stress was simply unrecognised. Your conclusion repeats the main points rather than resolving the contrast. To strengthen the response, develop both sides with specific, balanced examples and clarify whether past hardship could also cause stress even if people used a different term for it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” helps readers follow the basic structure. However, progression within paragraphs is less secure. In the first body paragraph, several claims about modern complexity and competition repeat one another, and the link between competition and stress is sometimes awkwardly expressed. The second view is also brief and moves quickly from occupations to the conclusion that people did not feel stress. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, avoid repeating the same point, and make references such as “they” or “that time” more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “pressure,” “inferior,” and “previous generations,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the writing less natural. Examples include “complexities of lives,” “in race to compete,” and “the concept of stress was not existed”; these expressions do not convey the intended meaning accurately or idiomatically. There are also spelling errors such as “premative,” “everthing,” and “peasents.” Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing social pressures and historical hardship, and check spelling and word forms carefully. This would make your argument clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and a conditional example beginning “if a person compete.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but control is inconsistent, and errors occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For instance, “it is believe” has an incorrect verb form, “if a person compete” lacks subject–verb agreement, and “past generations did not had” uses the wrong form after “did.” Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “stress is major problem” and the lowercase sentence beginning “our today's issues.” Practise accurate past and present verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation before adding more complex structures.
