Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word length requirement of 150 words, as it contains only 134 words. Furthermore, the task is addressed only minimally. The overview is weak and inaccurate, stating incorrectly that the 3rd company generated the highest amount of money and had staff falling into a high-income bracket when the table shows it was actually the 2nd company with 48% and the 3rd with 74%. The body paragraphs present disjointed, inaccurate data points and fail to provide a clear, structured summary of the main features or relevant comparisons between the five companies.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The organisation of the response is basic and lacks clear overall progression. While there are paragraph breaks separating the introduction, overview, and body, the internal structure of the sentences is disjointed. Cohesive devices are used repetitively or inaccurately, such as the excessive use of 'while' and 'and', which results in run-on sentences that confuse the logical flow. Referencing is also unclear at times, making it difficult to follow which data points correspond to which companies.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, reflecting a basic range sufficient only for simple communication. There are frequent word choice and collocation errors, such as 'information of survey', 'all of tem are young', 'employees are fall in high income bracket', 'generating an highest amount of money', and 'wages rate'. Spelling mistakes such as 'tem' for 'them' also occur. These lexical inaccuracies and limited control over word forms restrict the response to a lower intermediate level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammatical range is very limited, relying heavily on simple or poorly constructed compound sentences. Attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty, leading to numerous errors in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions, such as 'the 3rd company have', 'works there', and 'company 5 ranks on top'. Punctuation is also weak, with comma splices connecting independent clauses incorrectly. These frequent errors cause some difficulty and strain for the reader throughout the text.
