Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify several relevant features, including the fifth-ranked company’s high staff turnover, the first-ranked company’s low turnover, and the third company’s leading share of high earners. However, the overview is inaccurate: the first company does not score highest across all measures, since the third has the largest proportion of high-income staff and the fifth has the most employees. Some comparisons are also unclear or incorrect; for example, the fifth company’s gender split is nearly equal, but it is not the only company with a balanced workforce, and the first and fifth companies do not both have no staff over 55 (the fourth has the highest share). Select the main contrasts more carefully and support them with accurate figures.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic structure, moving from an introduction to comparisons and then an overall statement, and linking phrases such as “On the other hand” and “In addition” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, progression is uneven: the overview appears at the end, and several points are grouped without a clear organising principle. Phrases such as “2nd to 4th also same staff they have” are difficult to follow, while the age comparison is not clearly connected to the other data. Begin with a concise overview, then organise the details into logical comparisons—for example, workforce characteristics and turnover/income—and use clear references to each company.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “staff turnover,” “male-female ratio,” and “high income bracket,” so the reader can identify the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear, such as “massive men power,” “best for carrier,” and “higher wages bracket.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “perpective,” “stafff,” and “mre.” Use precise, neutral terms suited to describing a table: for instance, “largest workforce,” “best company to work for,” and “highest proportion of employees in the high-income bracket.” Check spelling and avoid informal or invented expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. For example, “The table illustrate details about the five small firm” has subject–verb agreement and plural errors, while “The position in survey in from 1st to 5th category include…” is not a complete, well-formed sentence. Articles and sentence boundaries are also often missing, as in “more over staff turnover shows highest in 5th.” Practise accurate basic sentence patterns before adding complexity: “The table illustrates…” and “The fifth-ranked company has the highest turnover.” Use full stops to separate comparisons and check agreement, articles, and plural forms.
