Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the subject and report several relevant figures, including the first-ranked company’s staff size, gender ratio and age profile, as well as turnover rates across all five companies. However, the response only partially summarises the table: the overview is vague and does not identify the main contrasts, such as the fifth-ranked company having the most staff and highest turnover, or the third-ranked company having the largest high-income share. Several comparisons are incomplete, and the final sentence about age changes is unclear and omits key values. The table also includes high-income data, which is not discussed. To improve, give a clear overview and select the most notable comparisons across the companies.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to details, and sequencing phrases such as “Firstly” and “Secondaly” help signal the order of information. However, progression is limited: the first detail paragraph lists turnover figures, while the next shifts between staff numbers, gender and age without a clear organising principle. Some links are mechanical, and references such as “it increases” and “the last level” are not always precise. The overview also does not prepare the reader for the details that follow. Grouping related comparisons—for example, staff size and gender together, then age and income—would create a clearer progression and make connections between figures easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the topic, including “staff numbers,” “ratio,” “age,” and “staff turnover.” Some relevant terms are repeated, however, and several word choices or forms are inaccurate or awkward, such as “compinies,” “respectiveally,” “plcae,” “female ration,” and “reaches upto.” Phrases like “position upto 5th levels” and “the age below 35 to over 55” are also unclear, which can make the data harder to interpret. Aim for precise table-description language and check spelling carefully. Useful expressions include “ranked first,” “the proportion of employees,” and “the share of staff aged under 35.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response is generally understandable. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, agreement, articles and verb forms. For example, “the 56 staff numbers has the 1st position” has an incorrect subject construction and verb agreement; “There are both male and female workers which has the age” uses an unsuitable relative clause; and “after reaches to fifth places it increases” lacks a clear grammatical subject and verb pattern. Punctuation and capitalisation are also inconsistent, as in “similary” after a full stop. Practise accurate comparison structures, such as “The company ranked first employed 56 people,” and use complete, clearly punctuated sentences.
