Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You cover the main categories in the table and identify several important contrasts, including the largest and smallest workforces, the high turnover at the fifth-ranked company, and the third company’s leading share of high earners. Most figures are reported accurately. However, the overview is incomplete: it notes workforce size and older employees but does not summarise other broad patterns, such as the fifth company’s highest turnover and lowest high-income share, or the third company’s highest high-income share. Some comparisons are also imprecise: the claim that the remaining companies have the highest number of male workers is not true of the second company, where women form a slight majority. A more selective, accurate overview and clearer comparisons would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction and overview are followed by paragraphs on workforce size, gender and age, turnover, and income. This makes the information reasonably easy to follow, and phrases such as “In terms of staff numbers” and “Regarding to age” signal changes in focus. However, some links are mechanical or unclear, and the final paragraph is very brief compared with the others. The sentence combining age and turnover also moves between topics without a clear transition. Referencing such as “other remaining companies” and “others” makes it harder to identify exactly which companies are being compared. Grouping related comparisons more consistently and using precise references would create smoother progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of task-relevant terms, including “staff turnover,” “staff numbers,” “income bracket,” and “employees,” so the reader can understand the main data. There are also attempts at more formal reporting language, such as “estimated” and “observed.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “information of the survey,” “workers number,” “largest number of companies possess employees,” and “highest number of male workers.” Spelling errors such as “waich,” “comany,” and “comapny” are noticeable, while repeated use of “company” and “workers” limits flexibility. Use standard data-reporting phrases and check spelling to make the vocabulary more precise and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “while” and “which,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, grammatical control is uneven. For example, “which is conducted” does not fit the past context of the survey, and “other three companies ranging” lacks a finite verb. There are also errors in articles, agreement, and sentence construction, as in “5th company has” and “Majority of 2nd and 4th company workers are female waich are ranges.” Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, including “lowest. All” and “only56.” Aim for complete clauses, consistent past-tense reporting, and careful proofreading of sentence boundaries and agreement.
