Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the table’s subject and make relevant comparisons, including the first- and fifth-ranked companies’ staff numbers and gender balance. However, the overview is unclear and partly inaccurate: saying companies with “moderate numbers and percentages” scored higher does not capture the data, and the first-ranked company does not have all staff under 35; 77% are under 35 and none are over 55. Several key figures are omitted, such as the third company’s highest high-income share (74%) and the fifth company’s highest turnover (33%). The final claims about turnover and income affecting success are not demonstrated by the table. Select the clearest patterns and report them accurately, without adding causal explanations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic sequence: an introduction, an attempted overview, and comparisons of staff size, gender, age, turnover and income. This gives the reader some sense of the topics being discussed. However, there is no clear progression through the data, and the final section becomes difficult to follow, particularly in “the staff turnover is also turnover in success ration lower the turnover the more successful the company wil be.” Linking words such as “Moreover” and “If we take a look” are used, but they do not consistently clarify how the points relate. Organise the report into a clear overview followed by grouped comparisons, and use precise references such as “the first-ranked company” to maintain cohesion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “staff number,” “gender ratio,” “employees,” and “staff turnover,” so the reader can recognise the main subject areas. However, the range is limited and frequent spelling and word-choice problems make parts difficult to understand: “survay,” “descry,” “amoung,” “lover,” and “sucsess” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “working capabilties,” “mixed combinations of aged person,” and “high bracket.” Use standard terms from the table, for example “staff size,” “male-to-female ratio,” “age group,” and “high-income bracket.” Proofreading spelling and choosing conventional collocations would make your comparisons clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a comparison beginning “If we take a look at gender ratio” and a clause introduced by “while.” However, the range is limited, and frequent errors in sentence structure and basic grammar sometimes make the meaning hard to follow. For example, “The table illustrated the five small companies … that positioned on top 5” lacks a clear verb construction, while “the 1st positioned campany have” has subject–verb disagreement. The sentence about turnover is also missing clear punctuation and a complete grammatical structure. Practise accurate past-tense reporting, articles, agreement and sentence boundaries; shorter, controlled sentences will help you express each comparison reliably.
