Student answer (Band 6.0)
Modern technology has revolutionized the communicational systems significantly. Nowadays, people can know other country's traditions, cultures easily through mass media and also easier international travelling options. I largely believe that the advantages far outweigh the drawbacks. International media helps the people to be enriched with other customes and know about a country's political and economical situation.
To begin with, one of the major advantages is that the people may know other country's people lifestyle, customes and traditions easily through mass media. Some countries have beautiful traditions which may influence other country's people. For instance, France, enriched with culturaly, offers its traditions and cultures towards the people. Many visitors go to the france to experience its people and traditions. Because of improved international traveling options, individuals may travell easily across the globe. In addition to this, using digital media such as facebook, twitter, the interested people may know the improved country people's lifestyle and thought, which may influence them to develop their living standard.
Another significant benefit of mass media and ease of international travel is that individuals can gather knowledge about other country's political and economical policy through using different media. If a country may follow a developed country's policy about education and economy, they can develop their own country's education and economy. China, a technology based country, is improving fast using cutting edge technology and its skilled workforce. A developing may get knowledge easily of chinese policy about their economy and educational systems because of mass media and easier international travelling options. However, social media may have a negetive consequence on a country's culture and tradition. The individuals may be influenced more by bad culture of other country, causing social degradation in some cases.
In conclusion, although improved international travell options and mass media have some disadvantages, i genuinely beleive that its positive things can outweigh the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you believe the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, and you discuss cultural awareness, travel, and access to information about other countries’ policies. These points are relevant to the question, and the examples of France and China help illustrate them. However, the disadvantages are only briefly mentioned in one sentence about cultural influence and social degradation, so this side of the comparison is less fully addressed. Some supporting claims also need clearer explanation: for example, the link between adopting another country’s education or economic policies and achieving development is asserted rather than demonstrated. Develop the counterargument and explain more precisely how each example supports your overall judgement to make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two paragraphs presenting benefits, a brief drawback, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “In addition to this,” and “Another significant benefit” help readers follow the main points. However, the second body paragraph combines policy knowledge, China, and the cultural drawback, so the shift to the opposing view feels abrupt. The conclusion repeats the position but does not draw together the main reasons. Some links between sentences are also unclear, particularly the move from travel to social media in the first body paragraph. Give the disadvantage its own clearly signposted paragraph and use more precise references and transitions to show how each idea connects.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “traditions,” “political and economical policy,” “social degradation,” and “skilled workforce.” This allows you to discuss culture, media, and development, and some less common expressions show an effort to be precise. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make phrases awkward, as in “enriched with culturaly,” “offers its traditions and cultures towards,” and “a developing may get knowledge.” There are also repeated forms such as “other country’s” and “easier international travelling options.” Aim for natural collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; for example, use “culturally rich,” “share its traditions with,” and “a developing country can learn about.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If a country may follow a developed country’s policy…” and a concession in the conclusion. Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur in sentence construction, articles, agreement, and punctuation. For example, “the people may know other country’s people lifestyle” has unclear noun relationships and missing possessive marking, while “A developing may get knowledge” lacks a complete noun phrase. The sentence beginning “Because of improved international traveling options” is also a fragment. Review article and possessive use, ensure every sentence has a complete main clause, and check punctuation where sentences run together, as in “options.However.” More consistently accurate complex sentences would strengthen control.
