Student answer (Band 5.0)

These days, it is generally believed that highely development on technology make people life more easier due to it people can easier know about the world news by sitting in the corner of the room from diffrent place sa well as from another countries alsp0. This can have both advantage and disadvantage. However, In my analysis, I find that there are more advantages than disadvanatges. In this essay; i will attempt to present some positive and few negative aspects of this statements.

To begin with, there are several merits of that people life become more easier to known the international travel and the spread of various kinds of mass media all over the world it made more possible for human to nknow about the other people live in other nations. one of them is that, Through diffrents kind of media help people to know aboyt their people life and the situation of the nation. For example, People can see news from diffrent internation as well as own nations platsfroms like facebook, instagram and youtube etc. From diffrent kinds of news media. It can be greatly beneficial to individuals and the society.

In constrat, despite several positive side of this, the drawbacks cannot be overlooked, In this regard I would argue that through this it will also caused the nationspeace or damage their people life also. Similarly, another things to consider in this context is that by providing information through variopus media all over the world about other human live in other countries will suffer from diffrent kinds of problems such as, terriost will be entry in nations easily or they will collect information from media and they will attact the nationor the people and it will completely risks for people life as well as the country also. It seems to me that these aspects should aalso be taken into considerationn while judging the pros and cons.

In conclusion; I believe that it will helps international people to trave there because they will already know about their people live through diffrent mss media and it is also connect people from each other.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear overall view in the introduction—that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages—and you include both sides, so the response addresses the central question. However, the discussion only partially answers it because the advantages are not clearly compared with the disadvantages, and the conclusion does not explicitly reaffirm which side is stronger. The main benefit is that media helps people learn about life and events elsewhere, illustrated by social-media platforms, but this example is broad and its impact is not explained. The security concern is also asserted rather than supported with a specific example. Develop fewer points in more depth and explain why the benefits of understanding other societies outweigh the risks you identify. The 15 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing sides, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “In contrast,” and “In conclusion” helps readers identify the intended structure. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the first body paragraph begins with a long, unclear sentence that repeats the prompt, while the second moves from national peace to terrorism without a clear link. Connectors such as “Similarly” do not always introduce a genuinely related point, and some references, including “this” and “it,” have unclear antecedents. To improve, give each paragraph one central claim, explain it in a logical sequence, and use linking expressions only where the relationship between ideas is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “international travel,” “mass media,” “drawbacks,” “beneficial,” and “taken into consideration.” These choices show an effort to discuss both sides rather than relying entirely on very basic language. However, the range is limited and many phrases are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “people life,” “other human live,” and “nationspeace”; spelling errors such as “diffrent,” “disadvanatges,” and “terr iost” also reduce clarity. Some expressions, such as “news from different international,” are incomplete or unnatural. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; precise phrases will help you express your ideas without repetition.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “despite” and a sentence explaining how information might be misused. However, control is inconsistent, and complex attempts often contain several errors that make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “highly development on technology make” has problems with word form, agreement, and sentence construction, while “it will also caused” combines an incorrect verb form with an unclear structure. Articles, plurals, and agreement are also unreliable, as in “another things” and “it will helps.” Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, particularly around sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses while checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
