Student answer (Band 5.5)

Yes, according to my thinking and thoughts it has far more advantages than disadvantages and the reasons behind all of this that through this we does not need to travel different places to see culture of different people because all of the information with the footage is given on the social media and through this we could also able to live a present life with them on the live streaming on social media through this we could able to promote culture and there point of views and thinking about different situations. And I also want to share my life experience that one day i was laid down on my bed i hit upon with the idea that I should have to live a adventurous life like the people of South Africans are living in the forest. So, I began search on it and saw that one person was streaming on the life of South Africans peoples and after that i went to the forest to have a experience and after this I went to forest with some tools and had a whole day in the forest according to the people of South Africans and it was great experience and through this different people shared the life style and culture of different religions and people with facilities and situation ship and through this we could able to know about the hardship of different from whom they were going through. So, this the main and important factor due to which development of mass media has outweigh the disadvantages with there advantages which is a common and good factor about it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is limited. The essay relies heavily on a single, personal anecdote about visiting a forest, which lacks the broader analytical depth required for an academic task. The argument is somewhat repetitive, focusing on the same point about 'seeing culture' through media. To improve, you should provide more diverse, generalized arguments regarding global understanding, cultural exchange, or potential downsides like cultural homogenization, rather than focusing solely on a personal experience.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is written as a single, long paragraph, which significantly hinders the logical progression of ideas. There is a lack of paragraphing, which is essential for organizing an academic essay into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical and repetitive way, such as the frequent use of 'through this' and 'and'. The flow of ideas is often disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow the transition between the general argument and the personal example provided.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. Phrases like 'according to my thinking and thoughts' and 'different people' are used frequently, which limits the range of expression. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'situation ship' and 'the footage is given on the social media'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of variety and the use of informal, imprecise language prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should aim to use more academic vocabulary related to technology, globalization, and cultural awareness.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede the flow of reading. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'we does not need', 'we could also able to'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward sentence structures. Many sentences are run-on, lacking proper punctuation to separate distinct ideas. The range of grammatical structures is limited, relying mostly on simple or poorly constructed complex sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of modal verbs like 'could' and 'should'.
