Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both international travel and mass media. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention that mass media helps those who cannot afford to travel, the argument lacks depth and specific examples to support the claim that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The position is present but could be more clearly articulated throughout the essay. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the argument with more detailed supporting evidence, rather than general statements about economic conditions or the existence of fake news.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Beside this' and 'In this case'. The progression of ideas between paragraphs is sometimes disjointed, particularly the transition between the discussion of economic classes and the reliability of media. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and phrases more naturally to connect sentences and paragraphs, ensuring that the logical flow is smoother and more sophisticated.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'in the term of gathering information', 'over the universe', and 'garbage of fake information'. While the meaning is clear, the language is not always natural or sophisticated. To improve, try to use more precise academic vocabulary and idiomatic collocations. For example, instead of 'small earners', consider 'low-income individuals', and replace 'upgradation' with 'advancement' or 'development'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'All the mass medias are'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'People must aware about'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like articles and verb forms. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring they are error-free will significantly boost your score.
