Student answer (Band 6.0)
International traveling and numerous mass media has become increasingly common in the world and supports virtual visits for individuals to know about living style of people in other countries. I believe that its advantages outweigh its disadvantages because virtual visits and good traveling facilities help tourists to decide at their own pace and saves time and money.
One of the biggest advantages of this practice is that i different types of digital platforms provide significant information not only related to its historic monuments but also to its traditional outlets and clothes . Therefore individuals can sort data according to their preferences and select the country which they wanted to visit, for example there are different travel sites like make mytrip which organizes travels and also provide list of adorable sites to visit. Moreover, travelling has become more comfortable with the help of different types of mass media ,people can just bought tickets online and can also book accommodation which make them feel at ease.
Furthermore, using more online platforms may lead to fraud and loss of money because some digital sites or blogs are not authorized and foreigners may got trapped in their lies and may have a great loss. For instance some sites and blogs mislead the tourists because they know they are not familiar with the costs in different country and they make profit out of them .Therefore it is crucial to check proper details about the owner before handling the charges to them .
In conclusion, Although fully depending on mass media can encourage frauds ,I believe its advantages outweigh its disadvantages because we can comfortably book our accommodations and make virtual visit to the specific country and know about the culture before being physically present there.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, providing a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, such as the convenience of digital planning and the risks of online fraud. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the discussion on 'mass media' is a bit vague, as the essay focuses more on travel booking sites than on the broader concept of mass media's role in cultural awareness. While the position is consistent, the supporting evidence could be more detailed to reach a higher band. Overall, the response is relevant and maintains a clear focus throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the advantages from the disadvantages. Cohesive devices such as 'One of the biggest advantages', 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by minor mechanical issues, such as the repetitive use of 'different types of' and some slightly awkward phrasing. The referencing is generally clear, though the transition between the concept of 'mass media' and 'travel sites' could be smoother to improve the overall progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There is an attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'historic monuments', 'traditional outlets', and 'accommodation'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'living style' (should be 'lifestyle'), 'handling the charges' (should be 'making payments'), and 'bought tickets' (should be 'buy tickets'). The range is sufficient for the task, but the lack of more sophisticated or precise lexical items prevents a higher score. Spelling is generally accurate, but the phrasing is occasionally repetitive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the fluency of the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('International traveling and numerous mass media has become'), incorrect verb forms ('people can just bought', 'foreigners may got trapped'), and punctuation errors (missing spaces after commas). These errors are noticeable but do not significantly impede communication. To improve, the student should focus on consistent verb tense usage and subject-verb agreement, as well as refining the use of complex sentence structures to ensure they are error-free.
