Student answer (Band 6.0)
The ease of international travel and the spread of social media all over the world had made sharing different cultures easier, everyone from anywhere in the world is able to know about any country they want. I strongly believe that the advantages outweigh the disavantages, In my opinion, it's better to have international information.
One of the main disadvantages of accessing a worldwide information is the fact that it can spread misinformation, or a stereotypical idea about a country. Movies and tv shows often show an idealized idea about a country completely different than the real life, this can lead to spread the wrong idea worldwide about a country and its people. In addition, a full time exposure to a certain culture can make people abandon their culture. People especially the young can be easily influenced by others, and with them being online all the time, it makes them easier to recieve and accept different ideas. As a result, local culture and tradition may vanish by time, also the whole country can lose its identity. For instance, many studies show that, the younger generations are abondoning slowly local music, clothes and also local food, they are more into westeren clothes and music.
However, accessing mass media worlwide can be beneficial in many ways. The most significant advantage is that people are being more informed than the past. The interent made the whole world a small village, it's like we are all living in one neighborhood, when something happens in a country we know about instantly even if it was miles aways. This can cause people to be more intelluctual and more in the moment. Furthermore, one of the advantages is increasing tourism, watching diffrenet places in social media allows people to discover places they never heard of. This can lead to make unkown places popular and increase their economy. Per example, there's a beach in my town used to be very empty, some local residents start to post it online and make videos about it, in few days the beaches become croweded.
In conclusion, accessing mass media provides significant disadvantages, including spreading misinformation, and culture abandomant. Nevertheless, it can also lead to a smart society and high tourism rate. Therefore, while international media can be risky, its advantages should not be overlooked.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all parts of the prompt and maintained a clear position throughout the essay. You provided relevant arguments for both the disadvantages (misinformation, cultural erosion) and the advantages (global awareness, tourism). The ideas are generally well-developed, though some points, such as the impact on local identity, could benefit from more specific evidence or deeper analysis. You successfully balanced the discussion, ensuring the reader understands your stance. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are fully integrated into the argument rather than just listed, and avoid minor over-generalizations about the younger generation's behavior.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use a variety of cohesive devices such as 'In addition,' 'However,' and 'Furthermore' to transition between ideas. However, there are some instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or the referencing is a bit repetitive. For example, the transition between the discussion of misinformation and cultural abandonment could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas. To improve, focus on using a wider range of cohesive devices and ensuring that the logical progression between sentences is more seamless.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'misinformation,' 'idealized,' and 'intellectual.' However, there are several spelling errors ('disavantages,' 'recieve,' 'westeren,' 'intelluctual,' 'diffrenet,' 'abandomant') and some awkward word choices, such as 'full time exposure' instead of 'constant exposure.' While these errors do not impede communication, they do limit the score. To achieve a higher band, focus on accuracy in spelling and collocation, and try to incorporate more sophisticated, topic-specific vocabulary to demonstrate a wider range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. There are several grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('the beaches become croweded' instead of 'became crowded') and punctuation errors, particularly with comma splices in the first paragraph. Additionally, some phrasing is slightly unnatural, such as 'by time' instead of 'over time.' While you attempt complex structures, they are not always error-free. To improve, pay closer attention to verb tense consistency and punctuation, and aim to reduce the frequency of basic grammatical slips.
