Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages, though the development is somewhat superficial. The position is clear from the introduction, but the arguments lack depth. For instance, the example of 'electronic mopper and sweeper' is quite specific and narrow, failing to fully explore the broader implications of global connectivity. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced examples and ensure that your arguments are fully extended rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'undoubtedly', 'moreover', and 'however' to link your thoughts. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'Knowing each other countries people is beneficial'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the transition between ideas could be smoother to improve the overall readability of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'easily excess to travel' (instead of 'easy access to international travel') and 'foreigner countries' (instead of 'foreign countries'). Some phrases are repetitive, and the attempt to use more sophisticated vocabulary is occasionally marred by errors in word form or usage. Focusing on learning common collocations and word families would significantly improve your lexical range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('I thinks'), incorrect word order, and missing articles ('in some country people do not aware'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage.
